If the Johnsons weren't so ignorant this loss would cinch Gase's firing as they go into the bye week, but since they made it a close game against the Pats, I'm sure Gase will now get an extension.

12 men on field worked to our advantage as they still got a FG and wasted more time off clock. Well at least it would’ve if we didn’t throw an INT on the very first play offense was back on field.

Yes. I noticed that too. Within his vocabulary he's separating himself from his players. He didn't say "we aren't finding ways to win" he flat out threw them under the bus with "they are not finding ways to win"; he should've been fired 300 pages ago.

Imagine you’re Adam Gase and you just watched Dowell Loggains coach the team to one of the best offensive performances it’s had since you became head coach.

The Pats pass defense is bad, particularly with Gilmore out, and Flacco for all his faults is a fairly effective deep thrower. The Jets dressed 3 WR's with some speed yesterday. I was genuinely worried in the 2nd half that the Pats might be unable to stop Flacco's deep game and just get rolled over as a result.

The Pats have allowed 8.8 yards per pass attempt this season which is the worst figure in the NFL.

No question that was a concern.

Yeah. but that's a bit of an inflated stat. They've allowed second fewest first downs via the pass this year, and also have 10 interceptions (1 off the NFL lead of 11). CJ Jackson leads the NFL in picks. They aren't what they were last year, but they're at least middling against the pass, which is shocking for a team with basically no defensive line, no linebackers, and no pass rush.

They have a defense with good players in the secondary that can make individual plays but give up big plays because of the reasons you said is what I get out of it

This should be the last straw, really. How much more proof do the Johnson Clowns need to understand that Gase is not a "leader of men", he's an egotistical prick who points the finger of blame at everyone around him when things go wrong. Whatever else his faults are - and they are countless - this is the single biggest one IMO. It makes him unfit to coach, at any level, in any capacity. It simply continues to show how dysfunctional this ownership is, and why they will never be winners as long as the Johnsons are actively engaged with the team.

I can't believe as recently as ten weeks ago there were people up in arms at anyone who suggested Adam Gase was an awful coach that is ruining Darnold.

Stupid me. I actually thought when I woke up today I'd hear that the Jets finally cut their losses and fired Gase.

I continue to worry every day he is still here

in this day and age, it’s so fucking inconceivable that he’s still here

the Texans and Falcons fired they’re coaches weeks ago, and both of those guys had WAY better resumes than Gase...playoffs, a Superbowl

  15. If we had the assurance that hes gone at the end of the season no matter what,i’d like for him to have to take the podium that last loss to go 0-16.

Schefter pretty much confirmed he'll be gone after the season last night. I don't think we have to worry about that. To me this is just the Johnson's sticking to their "no firing coaches midseason" mantra along with some element of wanting him to finish out the season to secure the tank.

When JD says Gase is part of the solution, it literally make me cringe. I know folks said it was posturing, but I don’t get it. Why even say it.

Nooo we need him from this point on to ensure the tank!

Was there an article? I get not firing mid season, as I know how dumb Johnson’s are. There is precedence on that. They are not securing the tank, that is ridiculous, maybe Gase knows he is fighting for his job, if he turns it around maybe they will have him back. Thus the JD comment that Gase is part of the solution.

Gases part of the solution is to secure the first overall pick for us. Then he will be gone
