In my time as a Jets fan, the Jets have had multiple failed coaches from Herm to Mangini to Rex to Bowles. I wanted all of them fired by the end, but I respected them as people. Gase? Fuck that guy and ship his ass to Siberia.
Who could blame anyone for laughing? The Dolphins are the most poorly run organization in the league aside from us and Cleveland. They realize that Gase is garbage and they cut bait ... and the dipshits running this organization don't waste a minute jumping on him, as if they found the goddamn Mona Lisa in some fool's garage sale. Who else was clamoring to hire this guy as their head coach?? He didn't even have to reset his career by going back to OC for a few years. Peyton Manning makes a phone call and these clowns act like a couple of star struck 16 year old girls. So instead of screwing us once, Peyton comes back 25 years later for another shot. Hey Peyton ... if Gase is such a genius then why did you need to re-set every play at the line of scrimmage??!!! It gets me soooooo furious. You just can't make it up how incompetent our leadership is. It's almost funny.
Can someone name another NFL HC that we wouldn't take instead of Crazy Eyes??? I would trade Gase for any other HC, or even assistants Beinemy or Garret!!
There's a new book out -- ELWAY -- which goes in-depth into Adam Gase's time with Denver, stuff with Elway, Manning, John Fox, etc.....was excerpted in Albert Breer's SI MMQB yesterday. Someone who reads the book should report back on the Gase sections.
Missing the last coach that took us to the playoffs and actually had us believing that we might be able to win it all? Seek help, you’re clearly not well. Seriously though, for all his bluster he did, briefly, get results. The team had a reputation that kept offensive coordinators up at night. We haven’t had anything like that on either side of the ball since. The Jets do nothing well in any facet of running an NFL franchise.
The sad thing is that everyone in the universe sees this except for the two who matter, the Johnson Bros. I hate to say this, but look at New England. They replace Brady with a QB with a different skill set and completely change their system to maximize the new guy's strengths. With the Jets, we have Gase trying to fit round pegs into square holes with his system. By the way, can anyone explain to me exactly what Gase's system is?
Oh and according to NY Jets.com we only scored 25 offensive TDs last year, plus the two on sunday. Thats 27 in 17 games. Sent from my SM-G610Y using Tapatalk
This is why I found predictions of Darnold throwing 30ish TD’s to be a little out there. The team would need to make a big jump for Darnold to throw for more than the entire offense scored last season, and I don’t think the personnel has improved enough to make that happen.
