The unknown looks more appealing in this case. Why? The Jets finished 7 and 9 and were without their QB and backup for several games. They also lost their both inside linebackers for the whole season. If Mehta thinks the unknown is a better bet what is his reason except that he has a personal agenda against Gase. Anyway you win with players so the coaches don't matter as media types and talk shows make it seem.
He reason could be that Gase has failed for 4 years as HC. Or that the offensive genius hasn't had an offense in the top half the league since he had a HoF QB calling his plays for him. Gase hasn't shown anything to prove he is ever going to be a good coach, and has had more chances. I don't necessarily think Giants made the right choice, but I see nothing to believe Gase will succeed. Some posters here like Vilma bring up good points and reason for a little hope. But they also don't deny Gase can fail. If you can't see there is a chance Giants made a better choice than us maybe you should look into the coach we have a little more.
1. The ridiculously bad schedule made up for the ridiculously bad injury luck. 2. The defense carried the team, and the defense has nothing to do with Gase. 3. Gase has been an HC for 4 years now and doesn't look any better than when he started.
Sad part is I hate Mehta... but this is one article that actually hold some truth. I just wish someone besides the scumbag posted it.
So Goff would've made a 2nd year jump with Fisher? The Pats win 11-14 games a year without Belichick? The 49ers go to a Super Bowl and 3 straight NFC Championship games without Harbaugh?
You mean you tell me offensive genius Adam Gase used one of the best pass catching tight ends in the country as a run blocker more than a receiver? I don’t believe you. Gase is a guru.
You really need to start doing homework before you speak. He ranked third nationally among tight ends in 2017 in receptions (57), No. 4 in receiving touchdowns (9) and No. 5 in receiving yards (563). And if somehow you still can’t put the pieces together and need a voice other than my own to convince you: “While the knock on this year's draft class at the tight end position surrounds blocking, Gesicki does everything else well and entered the draft widely regarded as a top athletic pass catcher. In 2017, Gesicki was a Mackey Award finalist, which recognizes the nation's top tight end.” https://amp.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3...m=#fff&p.bgc1m=#0964bf&p.bgc2m=#053a74&sr=amp So he ranked top 3-5 in all statistical categories and won an award that is presented to the best tight end in college football. But you know what you’re right, this is just emotional hyperbole I’m spewing. Maybe this time respond with something other than a personal attack.
Of course I was. “In the country” usually means college and Gase only coached him his rookie year. Hence me saying Gase took one of the best pass catching TEs in the country and made him a blocker. It doesn’t matter how you slice it, just say this sentence out loud. He was top 5 in every receiving category for a tight end to the point where he won an award, then he was turning into a blocker. That’s bad coaching and only falls in line with everything else most people say about Gase. He has no clue what he’s doing.
he was a rookie. honestly, I know you PMS about everything with Gase but good grief man. A rookie TE has a slight bump in production in year 2 like every other tight end in NFL history but lets cry about Adam Gase.
It’s weird because I thought Adam Gase was an offensive guru yet Ryan Tannehill’s gets away from him and...
Taking one of the best receiving tight ends in the draft and then making him a blocker is stupid. There’s no other way to look at it. Even fucking numb nuts Jeremy Bates knew better.
A true Dan Marino-esque showing in the first half. Six completions for 79 yards and two touchdowns. One wide open bomb and another bail out by his tightend. I truly don't believe you watch him play. And just look at the box score at the end of games.
Obviously I watch him play. If you see the same Tannehill as he was in Miami, then you’re just in denial.
Another killer drive for Tannehill. One incompletion and they get the score. You're right. He's dominating out there.
honest question... do you truly believe that all these former Gase guys playing better without him is pure coincidence?
