I live in FL so I was all too familiar with Gase, as some of my great friends are Miami fans. There was never a question if he's a smart person, rather he has no interpersonal skills that are needed to be a good coach or even coordinator in this league. Even more so in the current climate. I help out hope, I am mad about being right. I'm even more mad we passed on Rhule.
As I've learned over the years and many other Jet fans have learned, is that when it seems like the Jets may know something related to the draft that the fans don't know , they don't.
How is he smart? It's like people created this caricature of him being smart because he lacks interpersonal skills, and there have been geniuses who also lack interpersonal skills. In reality, he's the dumbest coach in the league.

Was my VERY FIRST Adam Gase post. I'm proud to say that A.) That quote above was my 1st ever Adam Gase post/reaction... B.) I was part of the 45% and 100+ Jet posters who voted NO on if we approved on the Gase hiring yes or no and I absolutely voted NO! This thread. Is proof that our Jet fans opinions aren't valued by the Johnson's. If it were up to us? Gase would have never been hired. If it were up to us? Gase would have been fired already. This thread? Just goes to show that our fan base opinion doesn't matter and our voices are not being heard. Our TGG fan base ABSOLUTELY HATED GASE since page 1. On the first page. Thanks for reminding how much I hated this fucking hire.... lol I hope I am completely wrong but I keep reliving a portion of Douglas's press confrence back when he was hired about him and Gase being great friends and how the would sit and talk for hours about team building and how theirs views and philosophies were so much alike. I some how see Douglas backing another year of Gase.
