Just got this text from the old man: "What is up with his eyes? Murder spree? What the . . . hahahaha!" To clarify, he also sent me the video.
I only catch that show here and there by chance but is that string of music from it? If so, I'm dying here.
Mike F had a lengthy interview with Gase today on WFAN at around 4 pm and the man sounded competent enthusiastic and extremely analytical. Plus while Gase denied the Williams hire (not official yet) Francesca declared he must be very confident about things. AG agreed and said he wants a D.C. That will let him focus a lot solely on Offense
The Jets just hired white Stevie Wonder! Unfortunately he doesn't play piano and will most likely not entertain me! Signed, -Mrs. championjets69
Well Macc has picked two good ones in Boyer and Williams. I hope he has the same amount of luck with his FA choices...
Why are you talking about football at all! What an idiot! Peyton Place was some idiot soap opera from the 60s! This that the other thing! I remember it! Mia Farrow was in it and in between she had Rosemary's Baby! Signed, - Mrs. championjets69
He told Francesa that he will attempt to play to the players strengths and attack the oppositions weaknesses. Coaching 10l, I think. Who need this board and talk radio?
He simply has his eyes on the prize. Otherwise, he is saying to himself, oh shit, I am coaching the jets?
I did wind up watching/listening to the Kay interview after all, and I have to say that other than Gase's overuse of the word like, I feel much better. He came across better than I expected. I really killed the hire on here initially (and I still may in the future), but I still want Christopher Johnson to stay far, far away from anything and everything. Just because he's "chummy" and is more approachable than Woody the rube doesn't mean he isn't a fukking diot.
I listened to the Mike Francesca interview today and one thing that stood out that really excites me, is the fact that Gase stated one of the main reasons he wanted this job was Sam Darnold. That tells me that the opinion of him turning into a franchise QB is not just a green colored view. A guy who has a long history working with quarterbacks partially chose this job because he sees the talent and potential in Sam Darnold. That is very exciting as a Jets fan
2 incredibly fortuitous happenstances. We get one of the top 2 young QBs in the last 5 drafts and one of the top young offensive minds in football eager to develop him. I cannot believe this may actually be happening to our Jets.
