I don't see Gase as 2nd fiddle to any of these other guys based on his resume and the fact we wanted an offensive HC. From all indications Gase is more offensive than any of them.
You forget, McCarthy was on the table. For some reason we weren't interested at all in Pete Carmichael. I could see Gase being second fiddle to LeFleur and Kitchens in terms of developing a young QB. Gase hasn't done that.

I've been chewing on this since last night, and here's where I am: 1. I believe this was a bad decision, primarily because of Gase's personality and defensiveness, 2. I hope I'm wrong. 3.
