He is one step away from tying the 1969 trophy to the back of his car and cursing out the owners while driving around the parking lot. Put this man out of his misery.
I wonder how much Gase expected he'd be able to grow Sam over zoom. Jets are the only NFL team that hasn't allowed players into the building. ALL meetings are done from a distance over zoom. Not sure why Gase refused to bend the rules like every other team and hold in person meetings, especially with Sam. I recall in 2019 Gase and Sam sat down in his office to clear the air. It helped a lot. Maybe that shit don't work over zoom? Apparently not.
Is that true? Not seen it mentioned before. It wouldn't shock me. The writing was on the wall when Gase said he didn't want a specific QB coach for the young guy whose development was one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, he was hired in the first place.
The only suprising thing is that Gase didn't go off into his 3rd person speak like he normally does. ie, the Team let Sam down Gase never likes to admit responsibility for anything, instead trying to pass on any blame to anyone nearby
Yes, it's true. Gase is the only HC to enforce Covid rules to the max. Zero in building events, meetings, etc. Players ONLY interact on the field. There was an article on it yesterday ill find...here it is. I can't help but wonder how much zero TC and Gase's strict covid rules hurt the team..... Adam Gase, Jets have taken virus more seriously than most in NFL - New York Daily News (nydailynews.com) The writing was on the wall when Gase said he didn't want a specific QB coach for the young guy whose development was one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, he was hired in the first place. Look. When the Jets, especially the Adam Gase-Christopher Johnson Jets, are doing something differently than the other 31 teams, it’s almost always a safe bet that they are in the wrong. After last week’s Broncos disaster with zero quarterbacks eligible, many teams have started isolating a quarterback just in case an entire clique of them gets wiped out. The Giants, for example, are stashing away players at several key positions this week. Smart, right? You don’t want to be forced to play a wide receiver under center on zero notice. When Adam Gase says that he’s not considering an emergency quarterback plan, you can see the slow-motion disaster coming. Except — the Jets have appeared to take the coronavirus more seriously than just about every other team in the league. Gase, who always has an elaborate justification for every failed decision, has a legitimate explanation for this one. Gase was asked on Wednesday if the team had any plans for a quarantined QB. “Not lately just because we’re not in the building,” the embattled coach said. “Our guys aren’t really together except at practice. They do a good job of keeping their masks on, doing the protocol things. Really all our guys have done that. They’ve done a good job of adhering to what’s asked of them.” Every other team was having in-person meetings in training camp; Gase’s Jets weren’t. At the time, some of that was attributed to Gase’s infamously prickly personality. But whatever was driving the decision, it dovetails with “the golden rule of the pandemic”: Don’t be indoors with people you don’t live with. And it’s not just the avoiding of in-person meetings.
You can actually turn it off? It is one of the main reasons why I have never used it, that 'sent from my' is a pain in the arse lol sent from my house in the UK by a PC never ever using tapatalk
Has to be something behind it, we all saw him last week lying about the playcalling, it was obvious he was lying so he must be telling the truth this time but what is he hiding behind that statement or like you said what is the groundwork he is laying for the future. Devious shifty-eyed cunt (Gase not you btw )
Nah No Gase is going to B reupped & he will hire Kotite as his asst head coach. It is the NYJ way just wait n c foryourself
The problem with Gase is that he had credibility because he was the OC of the best offence in nfl history. The issue is that all he did was hold a clipboard because Peyton basically called the plays at the line once he saw the defence. Dumb owners like ours got sold on that he was at the helm of that great Denver offence but in reality he did nothing but send Peyton a suggestion on what to call.
Do you really have to think hard about the way you spell your posts? It sure seems like it on the surface. It is either that or you're railing against the English language system 70 years too late. Teenagers with their first mobile phones in the 90's with limited character use and 10p a text would be nearly proud.
I'm not sure you can ever fully turn the page from an 0-16 season. This is historic. Harder to do than winning a Super Bowl.
