Well that’s the point. He shouldn’t have been able to have them if he was admitted to a mental hospital. I don’t know all of the laws but it seems to have been indicated that the police could’ve done something if they knew.

I believe Maine does not have a “red flag” or “extreme risk protection order” law... They need to change that.
That’s not true. Maine’s law is a little bit more ambiguous but the federal statute is not. And it’s not a hospital it’s a mental hospital. Seems like plenty to take the guns away.
They showed some poor guy on the news, he lost his daughter to a car accident like a year ago and then his son in this mass shooting at the bowling alley they asked him if he hates the a-hole that shot his son and he said no, and I quote “hate is how these things happen” amazing guy

Since he's been caught I've been interested to know about this murderer. He's a peculiar case. That said I haven't done any reading on him or this case yet. I'm just exhausted by the cases, the massacres. There are so many of these.
