This lack of CIVILITY is a problem in all of Pro Football. I would never take my young daughter to a game, and isn't that a shame? My first game was at Age 7 - and with all of the drunks looking for a fight, no matter whom they root for, the stadium has become a place that I'm almost embarrassed to go to.

When we had season tickets at Shea, our section was right under the press box, and seemed to be a place that the Jets saved tickets for visiting fans. We had out of towners at every game. We joked with them some, but we were never aggressive in our behaviour.

I'm hoping to go to a road game this year, and I hope I'm wrong, but the mentality of fans towards visiting fans has become downright scary to me...

    Hazah!

I personally am very kind to all those around me... unless you're wearing a Patriots jersey, in which case all bets are off.

I have been to 4 road games in the last 6 years (I don?t count my yearly trip up to see dolphins @ The Jets or My Games down here in Miami) 1. Tampa Bay in. The cop's; got that the cop's Told us to "Get the Fu@# out of here or your done until Monday" (Meaning They would arrest me for nothing and I wouldn?t see a judge till Monday) 2. Jacksonville the Fans were like the living dead; no emotion no reactions during the game like you would see at any other stadium just real hum drum. 3. Tennessee. The fans were great they offered food, beer. They even ran around looking for jets fans to get on T.V. with them. 4. Atlanta, Lets just say Stupid is as stupid does. There is a place where forest Gump would seem normal! All and all the fans encounters IV experienced have been o.k. . . . I would probably treat another opposing fan the same.

I agree with JunJob - I was in Tennessee in 1998 and the fans were great! They treated us with respect and we had fun watching the game together. I was hoping this year's game would be earlier in the season, but it's too close to Christmas to go...

Here's the ettiquete for being a visting fan: Sit there and talk only to the people you came with. If there's another visiting fan near you, you can talk to them or slap them five or whatever. But, if you start being loud and obnoxious and cheering way to much (standing, dancing, whatever) while your team beats the other teams ass and if you start taunting the home fans, then you deserve to get your ass beat cuz you're an idiot. And, if you have kids with you that have to witness that shit, you're a bigger idiot.
