Part of the youth movement would be my guess,we do have a younger and physicaly talented FB waiting in the wings.Sowell isn't getting any younger.
I think all of this makes taking Ferguson at 4 an impossibilty. Now, I think they will go Cutler, and then center and ORT not necessarilly in that order.... if Mangold is there at 2.4 (which I doubt) they will take him, if not, the best remaing RT on the board. Looks like Moore will be a starter. I'm sure they will go for a guard, maybe two, after that. Wow.... we could have three rookies starting on the O line. I suppose Bentley as an FA center is a possibility now though.

Lets pretend you were Abe- how would youyou feel if the other defensive end on your team whose success is mostly due to you gets a huge long term deal from the same team that doesn't wanna give you one? That makes him a crybaby? The guy is one of the best DE's in football and deserves to be paid like one. If we didn't give Shaun Fatso Ellis a big money deal, we wouldn't be stuck having to tag Abraham every year. People forget about Ellis, but they shouldn't. He makes way to much money and is a loser underachiever. Without Abe, he'll stink even worse. So quit this ridiculous Abe bashing and try to put yourself in his shoes. I usually don't take the side of players who are making good money and demand more (IE Terrell Owens), but Abe has been badly disrespected by this organization. It's not the only the contract, but the way they mishandled his injury during the playoffs last year. They lied about his condition and stood by while the media made him out to be a villian because of the organizations lies. Fuck the Jets management... John Abraham deserves to be pissed and deserves his god damn money. Now stop it already.

You seem to ignore the FACT that he turned down the SAME deal that Ellis got.... oh, poor, poor Jonny Abe. Can it. He wants to be the highest paid DE in the NFL, with an 18 mil signing bonus..... he's only worth half of that. He isn't even a top five DE. Top ten, yeah, not top five.
Everything you just said in untrue. He didn't turn down the same deal Ellis got. That was lies said by the Jets organization. And yes, he's a top 5 DE. Name five better than him. I can name two- Freeney and Peppers. Let me guess... you're going to say Michael Strahan, aren't you? You people always say Michael Strahan. Jason Taylor is not better than him anymore. Who are some other elite de's? Vandenbosch? One very good year, hasn't done it consistently to be put on that level. Abe is a game breaker. We need to keep him.
How is it lies? Were you privy to the situation. All we can do is go by what is reported or leaked and the story that has been reported is that he turned down an offer and the Jets then took it to Ellis who accepted.
Let's face it..next year is going to be UGLY!!! Anybody have any ideas about the number one pick in 2007?
