I agree, but Abe is doing more then his part it's Ellis we need to do something with.

...as a backup. I want to see what he can do full-time.

This time last year everyone on this board was happy that Ellis got his deal and Abe didn't, so one year changed everyone's mind? No, he battled through injuries all year and our offense forced us to go down and stay down. Thats when the other team would just pound the football and Ellis and Abe didn't have much of a chance to rush the passer. Ellis will return to form when the team does... I don't think he's a pro bowl talent but he's definitely one of the better in the league.

I would actually like him in the 2nd or 3rd round. I like the heart and the motor that he showed in Louisville this year and he has the potential to be like Dwight Freeney. He'll be a solid 10 sack a year guy in the NFL someday.

Yeah, we had to get a coach who wouldn't tolerate Ellis playing way overweight all season, because Herm didn't care. Mangini won't allow Ellis to be as heavy as he was this year, unless we play a 3-4 and it makes him more effective.

I guess everything is Herm fault?

Allowing his players to be out of shape, that's definitely his fault.
