Of course I'm serious. You could also add injuries, officials, ownership, the sons of ownership or any other off topic excuse that comes up daily here for things that don't matter in talking about the performance of one player.
Because “par” level QB play is not worth the money it’s going to take to keep him. We have 30m reasons to cut bait on Adams, and the money we save from that allows us to afford the final 49m onetime hit it’s gonna take to get away from Rodgers. Otherwise we’re gonna have him against our cap for the next 3 years.
“If it was up to me, he’s coming back,” linebacker Quincy Williams said Tuesday during an appearance for Bounty towels. “On the field and off the field, he’s a great person. He takes our game to another level.” Defensive end Jermaine Johnson agreed with Williams and told a story about Rodgers challenging him on the field during an offseason practice. “He just comes in and was like, ‘What do you see right here?’ ” Johnson said. “I had a pretty good year last year, and I’m thinking I know something. I tell him what I see and he goes, ‘Hmm, OK, nothing else?’ and he’s almost challenging me, like ‘That’s all.’ He does a great job of making everyone around him better, which is a very, very key attribute to have in being a good leader, which every quarterback should be. “Yes, obviously I’d like to have him back.” https://nypost.com/2025/02/04/sport...e-johnson-hope-aaron-rodgers-returns-in-2025/
What’s the rush today? The league season doesn’t start until March. This is the doldrum period of Jets football. In the busier years we spend our playoff periods in the news by firing and hiring coaches and staff. Otherwise from Halloween through March we don’t have much going on. Never fear though, the draft and FA are coming, along with all the eager predictions and steadfast posts that this time is different we have the right GM/Coaches/QB in place for our undoubted offseason title. But then Halloween comes again…..
The decision may not be official until after June 1st. They could announce their planning before that though.
He's clearly coming back. I guess this board is going to be quite surprised when it happens, all signs point to him returning.
Its a team game. You can discuss Aaron Rodgers AND other people he is surrounded by while discussing Rosgers. You have to be trolling.
There were too many 3rd and 4th downs especially after Davante got here when Rodgers locked on a low percentage fade ball against double coverage instead of reading the field. Or that play where he motions Adams into the slot and my blind uncle knew he was trying to force him the ball on a slant or stop route right at the marker. Those are losing football plays that don’t show up when you look up his stats on pro football reference. We also finished second to last in the league in rushing touchdowns. We scored a lot in the red zone via the pass when teams are probably just running it in so the passing numbers are somewhat inflated. Rodgers wants to drive everything and have a franchise wait on him left and right just as we did. He wants to do off the field interviews and podcasts and miss mandatory mini camp for trips. If you told me we’re getting good soldier Rodgers, hell yeah I want that back. But we know we’re not so hanging your hat simply on his passing touchdown numbers is disillusioned with what really happened on the field last year.
The reports that Woody and Aaron had issues wasn't true. All the players want Rodgers back. I also believe Glenn wants to win games so it would only make sense he would choose Rodgers over any backup or 2nd or 3rd round QB pick. We should know within a month.
You said this in another thread with references to games and I showed how they threw the ball more than they ran it. I don’t feel like digging it up again. Establishing the run also has a lot less to do with running versus throwing the ball on the goal line specifically.
I totally agree that the play calling regarding ADam and AR got pretty transparent and every one knew where he was going. But I would also argue the primary reason we didn’t score many running touch downs was because our running in the red zone in particular and the blocking was piss poor. I can’t recall how many times we lost ground running on first and short and second and short in the red zone. Not to mention how many explosive running plays all over the field where negated on a penalty be it motion or holding or you name it. Our discipline was a major issue in execution, AR or not.
just tired of hearing about will he or wont he be back. Maybe we will find out after we take over Greenland and the Gaza strip.
There is a point where someone performs / chases their dream at a high level, that they eventually acknowledge they theyve reached the stage that they can't go "full charge" anymore... it's a hard thing to accept and a humbling experience, but once you accept it and work within the confines of your age based restrictions, and become the facilltator to let the young bucks run.......
Because they tried running the ball more the whole first half and it didnt work which I posted so go dig that up instead of repeating something I already debunked.
The Jets were dead last in the entire NFL in rushing attempts. I don’t believe they tried to establish the run against anyone I am looking forward to the day when they do have a new QB, a new philosophy, and they run the fucking ball with Breeeeeece
