I mean the past two years they’ve lost as home favorites. There’s really only one scenario/one game this year where they won’t be home favorites in the playoffs and that’s a AFC Championship game at Arrowhead against the Chiefs. So yeah if they lose again before the AFC Championship game it’s a choke job.
Yep. The Bills were also loaded with talent the past few seasons too. Hence why they were the favorites to win it all in 2022. The Ravens and Bengals over the past few years have been closer to the Super Bowl than the Bills have gotten in the last 30 years. The talent and QB has not been the difference. It has been the head coach. If the Bills had a good head coach they would have won a title and be a team everyone is scared to play. Instead they haven't won anything, have choked in the playoffs, and just look unprepared when it matters most.
Thats the minimum. Anything less than an AFC championship would be a let down. The Bills at home are better than the Steelers and Ravens. It would be funny to watch them go one and done against the Broncos or Chargers. Surely that wouldn't happen though.
The Broncos with a rookie QB aren’t going in there and winning a game but I can definitely see the Chargers doing so with veteran Herbert, a good defense and an elite head coach.
I wouldn't think so either but either matchup the Bills will be going into the game with the inferior head coach. Matter of fact the only matchup where they wouldnt be would be against the Texans. Tomlin, Reid, Harbaugh, Harbaugh and Payton are all vastly better than McDermott at coaching. He is the Bills weak link.
I disagree. They’ll face Baltimore second round and they don’t have the surrounding cast that Baltimore does. Also, in years past, I never thought they had better squads than KC or cincy.
I’d love to hear how you think the Bills are better than the Ravens. Outside of Lamar, they have possibly the best back in the league, or certainly top 2. Zay Flowers and Andrew’s. On defense there’s pro bowlers everywhere, probably the best safety in the league in Hamilton, the best or second best mlb, a top 5 leader in sacks, and a stout dline. The bills have nothing on defense and outside of James cook, have a bunch of C and B players.
Ok you actually are probably right. My bias shifted because I would trust Josh Allen in the playoffs more than Lamar but outside of that the Ravens probably better roster/coaching staff. Im referring to the past few years not this season. 2022 they were loaded hence why everyone and their mother was picking them to win the Super Bowl. I just realized an interesting scenario could emerge based on the result of this Broncos/Bengals game. If the Bengals win then the Chiefs could theoretically "choose" if they want to send Denver to the Bills or send Cincy to the Bills. (As long as Cincy wins in Pittsburgh to). I would think Reid would be way more likely to rest his team up....
Yeah but I don’t think the injury risk is worth it. They’ll be resting their starters the last week and I don’t think they play with that type of fire. Cincy has been a problem for them too, so even if cincy beats Buffalo, KC may still see one or the other.
