Miami would sign Brady before they trade for Rodgers. Don't sweat it

 

I know it was reported that the trade was all worked out and they were just waiting on Rodgers but did the guy who reported that ever produce a source? Did the Packers or Jets management tell him that?

 

Miami's moves are a little worrisome, but then again, they tend to be big spenders in free agency and may just be creating flexibility for other moves. Tua's concussions have to be scary for them, but he was great when on the field. My guess is they go for a very high end backup.

 

I’m tossed. And even if they do, they need to bring in insurance. Probably not Rogers, but someone better than Teddy and see how it goes with Tua. Unless of course, the Miami owner wants to prove his dick is bigger than Woody’s and bring in AR to screw the Jets near term plans.

 

I don’t know, maybe it’s because we’ve been bad for most of my lifetime but I have a hard time hearing about what other teams do at this point. Even if we add Rodgers and they add no one I don’t think we are winning a title so I don’t care. If we add Rodgers and they add Brady, we still aren’t winning a title. If they add Rodgers we still aren’t winning a title.

basically it’s exhausting enough to worry about the Jets, I am over the point of worrying about what other teams do. Just build the best team possible and hope for the best.

Well there is the whole Peter Pan thing to worry about. Rodgers has always been a counter-culturist in his approach to life and that's not likely to change in the metro area media fishbowl.

So if the Jets are successful early on with him at the helm we'll be fine but if not it's going to be an uncontrollable media vortex for whatever his length of stay proves to be.
