The source was in this thread, not everyone answers stupid questions. Is it a reliable source? Probably just as reliable any anyone else. If you’ve heard a pick swap isn’t on the table, I’d be interested in seeing that source.
I dont understand why the Packers would want a pick swap from 15 to 13. there is little difference there and several players that are similar that will be drafted in that range so no real need to make that swap I also dont understand why they would want Corey Davis, seems like it would be doing the Jets a favor to get out of that contract I think Jets' fans are kinda delusional at what the return will be/could be.
I have 0 inside information but…. There are 2 players who will be available at 13 but not at 15. The top 3 OTs are usually gone by 15 and DB is (realistically) on his last year in GB and their RT isn’t very good either. Re Corey Davis, I know Jets fans don’t like him but he’s been consistent on the field at at this point in his career he’s a seasoned vet… the current WR room in GB is very young.
Corey Davis is on the last year of his contract - so why would the GB want to trade for him. Please explain. The only tradeable WR we had was Elijah Moore and JD smartly pulled that trigger. GB didn't want Moore so JD traded him for a pick he'll use to get Rodgers. it's pretty obvious. They just want to wait till the draft to either: 1) Jets stay put because there's a player they absolutely want on the board 2) Swap picks with GB + additional picks, because GB wants to jump ahead of another team for player 3) They both keep their same 1st - and Jets give up the 2nd + other things. All comes down to the draft board.
Whispers, rumors, innuendo, and unnamed sources. That's how it goes this time of year. Plus, it actually makes sense.
When did you become a dick? Is there a response deadline? Sorry I didn't meet your expectations... that's too bad, ain't it?
With all due respect, even the pundits don't know the facts, yet we have 153 pages of posts pertaining to Rogers. Are you suggesting that we lock down the forum and no discuss? Obviously not, so...
One person’s “pretty obvious” is someone else’s “batshit crazy”…. What’s the difference between 1 and 3?
Okay, since you want to stick with the facts: 1. Aaron Rogers announced on March 16th that he "intends" to play for the Jets in 2023. 2. On March 27th, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said getting the Jets 2023 first-round pick isn’t mandatory for Rodgers. 3. While at an event for WFAN in NY, Joe Douglas was asked by Boomer Esiason “is Aaron Rodgers coming to the Jets?” and Douglas responded “he’s gonna be here.” That's all that has been made public. Those are the only "facts" we have. Everything else arises from whispers, rumors, innuendo, and unnamed sources, so... what else would you like to discuss?
The are about 7 other posts just on this page which don’t make things up. Just go back and pick an aspect to discuss, and dont present as true , if its not
That pretty much summarizes all the confirmed facts so far. As a side I would add JD is still trying to improve the roster in areas like DL, WR and OL, as evidenced by the ones we tried and missed. We can expect more signings. The rest is people’s gut feel, personal wishes or opinions.
People get confused. The "facts" are that those three individuals said those things. The facts do not include that any of those things will actually happen.
blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla blablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablablabla!!!
Dude, you can't get from this that you've heard a first-round flip is on the table. Now that said, I think that's about the right value--100 pts vs 70 pts for the 4th round pick. But you further said the the packers will make the determination based upon who's available at 13 and no one has made any statement like that and i think its just wrong. In fact if anyone is going to wait to pull the trigger it will be the NYJ--I've seen mocks where 4 OT and Smith-Nijigba are all gone in the first 12. If that happens I can see the NYJ flipping picks. Byt if someone is high on their list and available at 13 their not going to trade because GBAY gives them the ok. All this is just my opinion--but if I said I'm basing this on what "I've heard" I'd be full of it.
One is a statement of fact at the time. The other is an actual occurrence. Otherwise, based on your criteria, no fact is a fact until it happens, at which point they are no longer a statement of fact, but an actual occurrence.
As I said on another thread, we don’t know anymore now than the day AR made his podcast. All we have is his intention to play for us, but that is only if the Jets and the Packs come to terms, otherwise his intention can not become a reality.
