Great presser by Arod. All fired up to see him committed to the Jets, to the offseason program, to winning the SB, to playing for the Jets as long as his body allows basocally. Heck, he even mentioned he will be mentoring Zach to become a player we all know he can be. But the funniest line was when he said with the straight face he did not have cell phone reception in his Malubu home and only wanted to talk via facetime. Classic Arod.
But but darkness retreats…. He’s Weird.. his family hates him……. Get outta here with that noise, this man is coming to ball the fuck out for us!!!
This was a really great segment to listen to. He said some really amazing things including helping ZW gain his confidence back and mentoring him to be a better player. Best case scenario that plays out and he takes over to be a good QB this might go down as an even better trade than we can even imagine
In passing I read somewhere that AR tweeted, some response to Zach saying he's gonna make life hell for any vet the Jets brought in. I'll try to find it, but it sure seems from everything he said about Zach yesterday, he'll be all-in on trying to mentor Zach, & that they friends. For now... https://nypost.com/2023/04/26/aaron-rodgers-plans-for-zach-wilson-after-practice-hell-boast/ .
Thanks for this @Brook!. Before yesterday, I was skeptical about what his attitude and commitment to the Jets would be. I heard this in the car yesterday, and he at least said all the right things. He won me over. At least for now. On to Draft Night!!
I particularly loved that Rodgers said "We haven't been to the playoffs in 12 years, We haven't been to the Superbowl in 54 years". Rodgers has bought in, he's a New York Jet he's here for the "foreseeable future". Going to be an amazing ride. Hang on tight.
Saying all the right things so far. It’s refreshing to have a guy step in, command the room, and raise expectations for the franchise. It has been a long time
Sorry folks. I am so thrilled and happy therefore became a "LIKE" machine. Throwing Likes left and right.
I have a request. Can we please not call him Arod. The only Arod should be Alex Rodriguez - the cheating lying baseball player who thank the Lord, was unable to buy the New York Mets. Let's use "AR" or "Aaron" or "Mr. Rodgers" Anything but "Arod"
Please no freakin A-rod monikers..... that's permanently attached to a giant douche * didnt see Lodge's post
Knicks Heat. Game 1. Sunday, prime time. MSG. About ten minutes before tip, Aaron Rodgers walks in, takes his seat courtside and the place friggen erupts. I need this moment.
A veritable "Like Spewer" I never tune in to Michael Kay, but knew I had to yesterday and caught this interview on radio. Thanks for posting it so that i could share it with others. Aaron surpassed all out expectations yesterday, even those of us who were behind this. I'm actually shocked just how IN he is. And i don't think he's a full of shit phony - like the man who is interviewing him. LOL
