Considering that the Bills defense took out Mike White last year I might just hate them more than the Patriots now.
MRI reveals Aaron Rodgers suffered complete tear of Achilles, done for season: Reports UPDATE: According to multiple reports, an MRI on Tuesday confirmed what the Jets feared, as Aaron Rodgers suffered a complete tear of his Achilles and will miss the rest of the season. It appears as if Aaron Rodgers has been lost for the season. Jets expect MRI to reveal Achilles injury for Aaron Rodgers (audacy.com)
Well at least he had the decency to do it in week 1 so we didn't get all cocky in front of other fanbases talking about going to Nevada and such.
Preventable until when? The next time? I'm not being snarky or facetious. It's a legitimate question.
Achilles tendon, not ACL. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38385791/sources-jets-aaron-rodgers-torn-achilles-tendon
I don't see how Rodgers comes back from this in '24 and is even remotely capable of leading this team anywhere. They were scared to play him this preseason and evidently their fears were justified. Rodgers and his ACL are 39yo and will heal much slower than a younger player. Maybe just maybe Joe Douglas stops signing old guys to play critical positions like... QB and OL. At least we'll get our 1st rd. dp back but still have to give up our 2nd for essentially a Legend. IF the FO and CS FINALLY decides to move on from ZW, '24 is the year to do it. Our window will not remain open forever with all this talent on the roster. This should have been our year. '24 has to be our year because '25 we'll look different.
Well, the CS must have figured at age 39, Rodgers might be a bit brittle. Guess they were right. No way he's back in '24 either as the older you get, the slower you heal.
I guess the question now is if it's a partial tear of his achilles, or a complete full rupture of it. The former often heal a lot better and sometimes without needing surgery. Either way, I think he’ll try like hell not to have his career end like that. Granted, he may not have a choice in the matter depending on the severity of the injury.
if he's a decent dude he lets the Jets know he intends to retire sooner than later. I dont expect it today of course cause its still raw but if he's him-hawing for months its a dick move
I don't expect Rodgers to drag it out at all. The Jets will give him his space to decide, but I don't see him dragging it out.
Jets window is NOW that is the scary part, elite vet Quinnen secured, but all these elite or key pieces are cheap on the payroll: Garrett Sauce JJ AVT Breece Throw in: Becton McDonald Huff DJ Reed Qunicy (All of which (minus McDonald) are going to cash in for bigger pay days soon. Jets have an amazing window open NOW maybe 1 more year. They have to do something if Wilson doesn't show miraculous leaps these next 2-3 weeks.
Our guys deserve better. We have a talented team, all we needed was a competent QB. We moved the sun and the moon to get this guy and this happens….I don’t know what to say. and then we play the Cowboys.
