Just saw this today. Good for a laugh. https://www.tiktok.com/@luketheman04/video/7278122769307503878
Normally takes 6-12 weeks to walk. He’s walking at 3.5 https://x.com/nyjetstoday_/status/1712624668992012299?s=46&t=RCU1EI_2cEZzRLtLmi7Csg
Surgery was September 13; October 12 was 29 days postop. That makes it early in week 5, or the middle of the intermediate post-op phase, of his rehab program where partial weight bearing is prescribed according to Massachusetts General Brigham Sports Medicine. That section notes that "Weight-bearing, wedge use/weaning, and boot types may vary by surgeon/practice." rehabilitation-protocol-for-achilles-tendon-repair.pdf (massgeneral.org) University of Wisconsin Sports Medicine says week four starts WBAT (weight bearing as tolerated) Rehab-Guideline-Achilles-Tendon-Repair.pdf (uwhealth.org) Ohio State Sports Medicine eliminates crutch use by week four: OSUWMC-BrandSourceFlierTemplate-Vertical This may explain better how rehab for athletes is different than for couch surfers, it's almost two years old so improvements in the program should not be unexpected. How is Cam Akers even playing? 3 factors that sped up his recovery - Los Angeles Times (latimes.com) I think what we have here, once again, is a guy who doesn't really know what he's talking about getting too much attention because he has an official sounding Twitter (X) account.
I guess that's possible but it doesn't look like game day activity to me. Has Rodgers been seen in town since then? Why would the guy wait almost two weeks to post it? Even October first would be pretty much on schedule with the Ohio State protocol - the middle of the third week post-op.
He’s back in LA rehabbing. That clip I posted was on the One Jets Drive documentary that was released last night.
Here is a longer clip than the 16 second one above. https://x.com/BoyGreen25/status/1712647493555462308?s=20
No but I give the guy credit; he's really trying to come back this season and given his progress, I wouldn't be shocked if we see him around Christmastime if the team keeps playing like this.
Commentary mentioning the quick snap for their penalty with too many on the field, a "Rodgers" thing. Coincidence or is that kind of stuff really rubbing off on Zach? Either way, great to see him there
The team plays better when Rodgers is around; maybe him throwing passes in the warmups gave them some extra motivation.
This could be legit, he looks like he can almost play and we have a few easy (no games are easy I suppose) games after the bye. If we are 6-3 going into week 10 he seems like he could play.
Wish we knew his timeline where he can practice freely. I heard he could come back for playoffs but we need him in December to be honest.
For sure! Him just being there absolutely gives these other guys something to cling on and hope for later in the season. Just stay afloat and wait till the big man is back type feels.
