An insanity plea won't reduce the charges, especially if he is proven sane. A plea deal might in some situations, but right now it sounds not only like premeditated murder, but a straight up execution. Not sure if the prosecution will even offer him a plea deal if they really have they evidence that it sounds like they have. Especially if his buddies rolled on him for lesser charges.
Evidence is all circumstantial If casey anthony and oj can get off so can hernandez They don't have the murder weapon
He is definitely done. They found a shell casing in his rental car that matches a shell casing at the scene and the judge didn't grant his bail.
Yeah I think many of them said something. They had to, there were three searches. You get one search warrant for the body, one search warrant = one search. To get another warrant you need new information with new guidelines. That could have only come from a witness. But who fuckin blames them. The dead guy was part of that same posse. Lol @ the defense asking for a gag order after dude basically laid out the entire case at the arraignment. That was definitely deliberate. 1st degree murder and multiple weapons charges is more than enough to get remand. They didnt have to read his texts. Have there been any rumors as to WHY Hernandez shot the dude?
That's what it sounded like to me, too. Eyewitness testimony can be as good as the murder weapon in a lot of cases. And chances are, both of them know where the murder weapon was tossed. Which means it will probably be recovered, if it hasn't been already.
Check Poe's Patsfans.com post a couple of pages back, and mine a few posts later. I wouldn't call it a rumor, more of a theory.
remember when the jets were the most fucked up nfl organization...? i'm cool with butt-fumbling and crazy skeet skeet skeet d-backs.
Im sure a transcript of the arraignment will be released for people to dissect what the prosecutor said. Anyone else watch the First 48? Love that show.
I heard them say that it was bc this guy was hanging out with people that AH didn't like. Chapelle show, "when keeping it real goes wrong."
Hernandez attorney is correct though. As it stands the case is based on circumstantial evidence. Until they find the gun and link it to Hernandez or get some cooperating eyewitness testimony they're selling the smell of the case. Would you convict Aaron Hernandez of Murder in the first degree without a murder weapon, physical evidence directly linking him to the shooting or an eyewitness to the act? It's fairly strong circumstantial evidence at this point but I don't know that you can get a conviction out of it in a celebrity trial. People hate convicting celebrities.
LOL. In this case, you can want in one hand and shit in a dump truck and the dump truck will probably fill up first.
The other guys are going to come forward; It's just a matter of time while they work out a deal. There is a lot of evidence against Hernandez, so much such, that the judge didn't even grant bail. The shell casing found in the car is going to be huge.
No my thinking is that if he uses that as his defense the prosecution might cut him a deal, because high profile cases that involve a hot topic controversy are inherently unpredictable and they'll offer him the plea deal. This my sophomore year pre-law opinion, so dont like take it as prophecy lol. My dad was an attorney, but a civil so I only kind of know what Im talking about right now. It sounds nail in the coffin done, Im just trying to think of what his best chance is. They're definitely showing their hand early. Thats always a sign of confidence. Its like the NFL equivalent of "we're gonna show blitz, we're gonna let you know who's coming, try and stop it." Im almost sure there's a coroborating witness. This is worse than Anthony, IMO. Almost all murder cases are circumstantial because the victim cant speak and homicide 101 will tell you the first thing to do is get rid of the weapon and body. But video of him holding the presumptive murder weapon, a violent past, all the guns, missing footage that only he could have destroyed, the texts, his attempts to conceal them.... Its enough, even without coroboration, and I would guess that at least one dude cut a deal. maybe not OJ, but thats why that case is so infamous. Because nobody was expecting that verdict, it was absurd. And it was because of the racial undertones at that point in time was such a touchy issue. Thats why I think his best bet is to come up with something controversial.... Like steroids and temp insanity.
