I seem to remember he was the most fined player in the league at one point. Something about his uniform wasn't right for every game. Gifted athlete and on of the better corners we ever had on the roster.
I liked him because he was fun to root for - a little guy with Jets longevity. But you are right, he gets overrated by Jet fans, he was just good - not great. Think about it, Even if Aaron Glenn is in his prime today he's the 3rd Corner on these Jets behind Revis and Cromartie. This speaks volumes about the lack of success the Jets have had at the CB position in their history, prior to Revis of course, that Aaron Glenn was named the greatest CB in our history when they made the Anniversary team a few years back.
I like the fact that he always lined up with his gloves unstrapped, his jersey too big and chin strap falling off...and he was a great corner.
AG was a good player. I remember him playing for us when I was like 7. I didn't like that we gave him up for the expansion draft but by then we had received our moneys worth. Hopefully he's got a good eye for talent.
I only saw Aaron Glenn play live once. 2008 International Series at Wembley New Orleans - San Diego. He had limited snaps to my recollection but it was special to see one of my first favourite Jets for real LaDanian Tomlinson also played in that game
