Last year’s roster, Aaron Glenn and late year Aaron Rodgers makes the playoffs. No doubt in my mind.

Yeah its amazing how every offseason Woody finds something to get fans excited about ,every damn offseason. The guy is smarter than people give him credit for, he continues to get fans to buy into the hype after putting a shit product on the field now for 25 years and even though the Jets sucked ass last year and a clown show they were still 2nd in attendance, and this year will be no different as "ex Jet taking us to the superbowl hype will be out there" and fans will get excited again only to see the ex Jet is all yap and don't know what the hell he is doing as displayed in the divisional round when he had 12 man on the field in a playoff game and his defense lost the lions the game. But hey Ex great Jet being our coach sounds so damn good except that brilliant owner of ours has tried this damn experiment his whole tenure here and not 1 time succeeded with it, but hey 100 time around may be the charm.

Since I’ve been coming less frequently a guy named GoldenShowers appeared and people listen to him. Huh.

Todd Haley is an interesting choice.

I hear him on NFL radio a lot, seems to have kept up with current systems

He’s been out of the NFL since 2018. I would trust him as nothing more than an offensive assistant or consultant a la Vrabel in Cleveland.

I don’t really care that you have a different opinion or come here to whine like a little bitch because your favorite team did something you disagree with.

But I think you’re being a real piece of shit insulting people that disagree with you and calling them rubes and all the other shit you’ve posted over the past week.

It’s interesting that he’s been out of the league for so long. He had two great offenses in Arizona and some pretty damn good ones in Pittsburgh.

They were 22nd in points/21st in yards his first year, 20th and 16th the following year and then 4 straight top ten finishes before I believe he got fired because Roethlisberger started to get the oldQBdiva-itus.

Based on what!?! How delusional have we become? He’s a Defensive Coordinator that never coached a game in his life. He’s literally Rob Saleh. This is all the same BS everyone was saying when we hired Bob. Strong leader, players like him, Defensive guru…. All the same shit we heard about Bowles. We desperately need a guy that believes in scoring points.

Hype baby, that's all the Jets are about, creating hype until the jig is up and people are exposed. See the 2024 Jets roster and coaching staff as exhibit A. Anyone who thinks that a guy that had 12 man on the field in a divisional conference game and his defense didn't even show up in a divisional game would give us a 5 game swing is dellusional . Guy is not even good at being a defensive coordinator like Saleh and Bowles was, yet people are comparing him to Tomlin already and praising him like we are superbowl bound next year, how about we atleast reserve judgement until he proves he can do more than talking the talk?

Can't blame Woody for hiring the nostalgic sentimental favorite, since he still needs to sell tickets after the latest PR disaster. Winning (which is controlled and scripted by the league anyway) is always secondary to putting asses in the seats.

I understand the sentiment but this is a pathetically low bar and shows how deeply engrained the loser mentality of this organization has become. "At least our players will try now!"

Looks like Glenn is taking on the CEO type HC role. I think that’s an excellent decision because some of his play calling was questionable at best. Wilks is an excellent defensive play caller.

    Now just the OC……

I'm glad Glenn isn't trying to wear two hats while learning the HC job! That's one concern I can dispel.

Agreed on the CEO type approach…I remember that was something the Jets were looking for with the Saleh hire as well, but that turned out to be just Rah Rah bluster

I like having Wilks as DC if that’s really a done deal…he’s had good defenses at several teams so that hopefully will be in good hands…the OC hire is super critical as has been noted many times already here…

But if Glenn can really be the true leader and get these guys to play as a team and up to their potential, and galvanize the team, then that would be good.

    We’ll see

I still would have preferred an offensive guy who’s already done it so we avoid the learning on the job aspect, and I would have been happy with Kingsbury or McCarthy, we have no control over the hire so the only choice we have is to root for him or just jump ship I guess.

I do like getting the experienced coordinate…that is something that Saleh did not do, as he went with first time OC and DC both…so hopefully this approach works better.

I do think the first and foremost thing this team needs right now to get to respectability is more on the intangible stuff…motivation, play hard, don’t do dumb shit, reduce the penalties, and really just change the losing culture. That’ll depend more on leadership skills than on X’s and O’s technical skills, so that’s the hope…that Glenn is strong in those things that are needed now, and then once we get out of the shit show and become decent, needs may change on that.

    We’ll see…
