He was referring to me as a child. The guy who thinks Matt Leinart can play football and wasnt that bad a college QB
Nah....Really I like Leinart alot & think he's a very smart qb. I also love USC, since the O.J. days. But honestly....If you compare Tom Brady to Matt Leinart ??? Hmmm??? Lets' see.....Brady has great arm strength, ability to avoid rush & is tall & agile. Leinart....Tall & not so agile....Moderate arm strength....But is smart. {Sounds alot like CHad} Jets' already have one of those models. Jets' need a strong armed Qb that has skills. I just feel Jets' can do better than Leinart. Young is a better chioce in 1st round if I had to go QB Personally....as I mentioned earlier...I hope Jets' stay away from QB in 1st round. They shoulda went for Culpepper when he was available....if they were so QB hungry. In the windy & cold conditions of northeast football played outdoors in winter, a strong arm is mandatory to havaing a Qb as a weapon. I could go on.....but before you get to emotional.....please....compare the top Qb's in the league & evaluate thre strengths & what you'll see in common of most if not all of the playoff qb's....they all had strong arms.
Matt Leinart is reportedly "dying" to be a Jet. The Jets are rumored to be looking at Matt Schaub and Patrick Ramsey. Because the Saints and Dolphins addressed their QB needs through free agency and trade, respectively, it won't be a surprise if at least one of the top college quarterbacks falls on draft day. You want the Jets to take a QB with great arm strength so you want Vince Young:rofl2:  . Buddy he has the same if not a worse arm strength thann Leinart
Are you guys blind to Matt Leinart or what ? Anyway...this post is about signing Brooks, not about Leinart....so keep the focus please
I used to be in favor of bringing Brooks here, before the season even ended, when it was obvious he was out of NO one way or another. I'm not really on the bandwagon anymore. If the Schaub deal falls through, I want to take Croyle in round 2, after trading down in round 1. Start the year with Penny, Bolly, and Croyle. If we get Schaub, and drop Bolly, then I would still draft Croyle. ABrooks could find a home with ATL if we get Schaub. It would be a good move for him and them. They need someone they can rely on for a couple of starts each year, since Vick is always a threat to be in street clothes at some point in the year.
Aaron Brooks sucks. The only way I want to see him in green is if there is no other place to turn, and the Jets simply need to get through the season.
ok buddy, we get it, we've been talkin awhile and topics tend to shift when u talk about the same thing after awhile, i thikn everyone has sed thier position on whether or not we want brooks or not, read it again if that makes you happy.
Having lived in Tampa/Sarasota area the last 5 years i've seen Aaron Brooks play a lot. STAY AWAY! The guy should retire and be Martin Lawrence's stunt double.
no offens but u seem alittle biased on ur opinion considering u seem to be a fan of USC, and even if they do have the same arm strength, would u rather have a scrambling donovan mcnabb built qb who can throw, or a smaller non scrambling qb who cant create plays with his feet?
