You can throw both Timlin and Farnsworth out, if you want. I included Farnsworth and not Timlin because I thought Timlin's decline was mainly due to age, and that it was very unlikely he'd have a better year this year than last year. While Farnsworth, OTOH, has had a few very good seasons, is still fairly young, and is famous for being on one year and off the other (this year being an on year).
Just keeping up with my thing here. 4/5 A-Rod 0-1 2 LOB pop up to 2nd 4/6 A-Rod was 0-2 when the team needed him. One K and one line out. For the season A-Rod 1-4 1 HR 2 RBI 4 LOB
He coulda won the game last night in the 8th but Classic Arod failing in the lime light .... I'd rather have soriano than Arod right now . But Arod's a Yank so I'll support him until he's gone...
You can't blame Yankee fans for longing for the days of All Time greats at the hot corner. How can a player like Arod replace Aaron Boone or Scott Brosius?
Wasn't very good last night when it mattered. At least he isn't on pace for 254 errors this year like Jeter is.
And gone and we yankee fans deserve it. When he is hitting his 40 HRS and 125 RBIs somewhere else and we aren't even in the playoffs for a string of years I hope we are all happy. How somebody who gets 120+ RBIs every year can be called not clutch is absolutly ridiculous. And just who does everybody want to replace him with? That ought to be funny to hear.
What did he do, hit one HR when it mattered? Of course we had pitching then and scoring 2 runs was enough to win. Now we have no pitching and need to score 8 runs a game to have a chance so it makes sense to get rid of all your hitters, right?
Scott Brosius does what Scott Brosius wants to do. If he wants to hit a 7 run HR, he does it. He has mystique and aura coming out of his ears and asshole. .250 / .300 / .400 and all the mystique and aura in the world > .300 / .400 / .550 and a severe lack of clutchadociousness.
Scot Brosius was the MVP of the 1998 World Series. He hit .471, two homers and six rbis in four games. When Arod does that as a Yankee, he can be considered a GREAT YANKEE.
No, he can be considered a TRUE YANKEE. Just like Clay Bellinger, and Jose Vizcaino, and all the other great Yankees with rings.
