I know you're busy arguing with alio junc but I expected better. Usually you at least put up a bit of a fight first before you start changing the subject and waving this white flag around.
The official site of major league baseball is wrong because it disagrees with you. That basically sums up nyjunc in a nutshell. Disagree with what junc says, and you're obviously wrong. Even if you are the official, approved numbers of MLB.
Stop the ehining and SHOW me where you proved me wrong. YOU guys brought up the ARod stuff, I said I didn't want to get into bashing him b/c he has been great so far this year but I was sucked into this debate again. If he hits 80 HRs in the reg season then doesn't have an RBI in postseason AGAIn he will get RIGHTFULLY blamed. I 100% guarantee those are the wrong #s, we had the jeter debate all last year and one of the things we always posted was his great late and clsoe #s. Every other site has well abouve .300 while one site has closer to .200. It's obviously wrong whether you want to admit it or not. There is no way Jeter would have been mentioned for MVP(let alone finish 2nd or 3rd) if his close and late was .245. That was the biggest reason people campaigned for him for MVP. You changed the subject bringing up something completely urelated. I just pointed out the way you are fascinated w/ meaningless fantasy #s. I PROVED my case, others are just bashing me. Anyone want to place any money on those #s being right or wrong? I 100% guarantee they are wrong. There is no way in hell he batted .245 in late and close- NONE. We all know MLb is a smoothly run operation, it's impossible they could ever make a mistake All of your weak arguments are based on those false #s, that's all you have which jmeans you have nothing.
They are not false numbers. The ESPN site you showed uses a different definition for the situations. They listed Jeter as having 83 ABs in those situations, but officially he only had 53. Think whatever you want, as far as I, Major League Baseball, and the rest of sane society are concerned, the numbers I posted are the correct numbers. In 50 years when they look at the official baseball records, the numbers I posted will be included and the numbers you posted will not. You are wrong. Whatever you say on the numbers being wrong now will be ignored, and you did not win. You lose. You are wrong. WRONG.
They are wrong, there is no chance he batted .245 in late and close situations- NONE. I will e-mail the site ans see what they say. I 100% guarantee those #s are incorrect and if not I will allow you guys to decroate my sig and avatar any way you like until football season begins.
I think thye might have '05 nd '06 switched, it has Jeter at .315 and ARod at .255 for '05 and I think ARod was better in '05. http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/historical...&box4=XXXX121347nya5&compare.x=25&compare.y=7
Wow! simply amazing. THIS is the guy we thought we had a few years ago, it's gerat to see him playing like the best player in baseball.
A-rod=clutch Its amazing how the 2 most bashed people by 2 posters who always argued against it, A-rod and Tom Renney are on fire lately.
So all A-Rod has to do is continue to slug 1.000 for the rest of the year and the playoffs? It seems so simple now!

I'm not kidding Alio, every single time I try to do some trash talking for fun it blows up in my face. It's like clockwork!!
A-ROD!!! The only times I have seen him play I was cheering him, probably because it was against Seattle and every one else was booing him:smile:
