Some of these mid-late picks I had pre-selected and just picked them while I was looking for the defensive needles in the haystack. Their ratings of defenders kinda suck; scouring that small print going by while the clock ticked gave me a headache. Some changes will be made once people clear waivers, of course, its all a work in progress :)

And as for taking Maroney #4 overall, just a hunch. I couldn't believe Jones was still there for the taking at 17, you guys must have fallen asleep

    1. (4) Laurence Maroney RB
    2. (17) Thomas Jones RB
    3. (24) Terrell Owens WR

I thought the Defensive Rankings were awful too. I ended up re-sorting them which is why I probably drafted Defense before everyone else. This is my first IDP league so I'm interested to see how it will work. I got the points scale off of some other websites I saw.

    Good luck to everyone.

Oh yeah. Yahoo!'s defensive player rankings are always awful. If you don't show up for a draft and you don't prerank IDPs you are in big trouble. In 2004 a guy didn't show up or prerank and he got stuck with guys like Scott Shanle (started 3 games for Dallas that year) and James Darling. I specifically remember him getting saddled with Shanle and I'm just using Darling as an example.

You also need to look at the settings to determine how important the IDPs are to the league.
I joined a start-up keeper league in 2004. The commissioner set it up so that defensive players were just as important as offensive players. In reality, of course, they are, but in fantasy football it's a new concept. I like the league.

Take a gander at my roster. The numbers next to the players' names are how many points they scored in 2006 under the league's settings. This team played in the last two league title games and won in 2006.

I'll be interested to see how our league turns out. I've been wanting to do an IDP league for awhile now.

The IDp has me a little confused but i'll adjust. Where can you get good individual stats on defensive players?

I went of last year Fantasy points. Go to add player (defensive player) and sort by last years points. Try that.
