If Chad never got injured he would probably be a top 5-10 QB in the league today. If I had 12 inches and/or a hollywood makeup artist I'd be banging Jessica Simpson tonight. His release had more to do with his performance which was effected by his prior injuries than his propensity to get injured IMO. I thought that's what you were referring to.
You can spin this any way you want. Good QBs are hard to find, so there are generally not many available on the open market and you're not going to cut one if you have one. I'm not sure what we're even arguing about, there were no better QBs than Chad out there and the minute he was out there he was picked right up and became a starter once again. If he was finished or no good, this wouldn't be the case. He's a starting QB in the NFL, there is no disputing that. All I ever said was that if he was here he'd start, so he's starting somewhere else now because we managed to get Favre. There's risks to everything, but the risk was well worth the reward so it was taken. Again, the move was more a reflection on Favre than it was on Chad. He missed two weeks of camp after being in the NFL for 18 years, come on. If anything it's more of an indictment of Clemens, as he's the young guy they drafted and were hoping to be the man, and of the three he's the one who continues to not play in the NFL.
