Remember it is joHnnySD making this prediction. Not jonnyd. I dont want to hear how I predicted in week 6 that the Jets were going to make the playoffs. It will ruin my negative, miserable, killjoy reputation that I have spent 2 years trying to build. as you were.......

Have to disagree. The Lions have had years of top 5 picks and what has that done for them?

The Patriots have proven that you don't need to be in the top 10 to get quality players. It is better to maintain a winning mentality then it is to tank simply for the chance at a better player.

The Lions are a Joke when it comes to the draft. The Patriots are just better than everybody else when it comes to Drafting. Period. We need picks and we need them bad. Even if we had a shot Why would you want to make the playoffs so we can get slaughtered in the first rd and still have the same problem next year?

The one consistent thing that has happened to us in the playoff games that we have lost in the last 5 years is that Pennington has gotten mauled in every one of those games.

If the Jets are to make the playoffs this year, it will be under Clemens arm, not Penningtons.

I am not going to assume the Jets are going to get slaughtered in the first round of the playoffs. It is going to require an almost dominant effort just to even get to the playoffs based on where the Jets are at this current date. If they play that good, then they may have a shot.

Again, it won't matter if we're picking 10 or 20. We will be able to get a pick at a position of need, or trade if necessary.

Ah there are always those who want to pretend that there team is still in the SB derby which gives them the excuse to watch FB each & every Sunday so they can tailgate etc to get away from them better half

we won't figure either out this year, because Mandumi refuses to play either.

The jets need to win the next 3 against Phili, Cinci, and Buffalo to have a chance.. This puts us at 4-4 going into the bye week.

The Thing is we need to get impact players. Everyone else in the draft see's the same players we do in college and the better the picks the better the chances of getting good players. I would rather take a step back this year and prepare for the future.

Do you also want to see Clemens fail? Personally I think Clemens can turn this team around.

If Chad stays as the starter of the Jets, then I agree, we will be headed for 4-12 at best. But with Clemens... possibly another story.

I can understand that but the way recent drafts have been, you can get high impact players all the way through the fourth round. The difference between the first round impact players and the fourth round impact players is that the first rounders typically run a better 40 or have better size. Example: Leon Washington falling to the fourth.

I just think that if Clemens starts and suddenly the Jets start winning, then it is possible that the Jets problems have been completely overblown because of just how bad Pennington is now.

If they do then the season is shot. I hope they aren't arrogant about this and pull the trigger on Sunday the second Chad starts to falter.

The problems on Defense are not overblown. We need players on D. Kellen will make the offense roll because there are some players that can't do anything because they are held back by #10.

If the offense is rolling then the defense will 1) not be on the field as much as it has been 2) get to play with a lead more often meaning they can do more aggressive stuff rather than prevent digging a deeper hole.

The defense will benefit from the offense picking up.

Im not sure if Kellen can get us a lead the Defense can keep as opposed to score enough to keep up with the other team in a shootout. In Theory your right but the reality of the situation is or D line is really bad.

It has been improving along with the oline. This past Sunday, our defense practically handed us the win and the offense lost it for us. If we had Clemens under center, I'm not convinced that would've happened.
