could be 3 AFC east playoff teams. only real competition would be the colts and raiders and neither look that hot. we are only 2 games behind them with 11 to play and we play the raiders.

I'm sticking with my summer prediction: 6-10 is our floor, 9-7 would be great, but our reality might be 8-8.
As long as its better than last season, I'll say it's progress and be happy with that.

There's going to be a WTF game in there somewhere.

The standard Jets MO would be to get a fantastic win against the Patriots, look like a million bucks, get everybody excited.... and then lose to Miami.

The Jets have been the only victory for another team four different times in their history....

1968 - lost to Bills ( but went on to win SB so who cares )
    1972 - lost to Oilers
    1980 - lost to Saints
    1991 - lost to Colts

1-15. Don’t take the bait. It was one win against a struggling team.

Just kidding. But 9-7 ain’t happening.

Sorry, I'm going to take it a game at a time. This is the NY Jets, a team that has perfected the art of crushing the eternal hopes of its fans. I hope they win every game, but my experience with this team tells me that they'll probably win a game or two they shouldn't - and Dallas was one of those - and lose a couple they could win. I'll be happy if they're competitive in every game, win most of them, but being in every game they lose, and seeing Darnold stay healthy and continue to prove that he is their FQB. For this to happen though, it will require that Gase gets his shit together, which I haven't seen enough to be convinced he has.

The Dolphins almost beat the Redskins. With the Jets ANYTHING is possible. It wouldn't shock me if we lost to the Dolphins twice.

Yeah well the Redskins are lousy themselves. While you are right anything can happen with the Jets I just don’t see the Jets losing to the Dolphins or the Redskins.

The Dolphins are run horribly and are a very strange organization. How the hell does a team trade off two solid young pieces like that LT and CB for draft picks? It’s almost as if they want to go 0-16. Just strange....

I see 6-10 at best. Oh, wow! We have hope for a 9-7 season. How exciting.

7-8 wins. Weak remaining schedule. No playoff game this year. They need another solid offseason.

At the start of the season I believed that 10 wins and a WC slot was towards the very top end of what this roster could achieve. Given the start the team had and all the reasons for that that has to be revised down a little. Only a little though, given the way the schedule was. I'd say 9 wins is still possible but probably without the WC slot.

Before the season started I wanted us to be able to play meaningful games after thanksgiving. Hopefully that can stay true, but I think we are pegged around 6-7 wins. I can’t see us rattling off every game from Jax up until Baltimore even though i think we will he favorite in almost all of them.

The AFC looks weak this year so 9 wins might get you a WC. This is the Jets and they are known for doing "SOJ type of things" to piss off the fanbase. I do think if they can pull off the upset and get to 2-4 then they will be in the playoff race.

If they get to 2-4 they are definitely in the hunt. I don't think they will, but it isn't wholly out of the question. If they do and then beat Buffalo in week 17 then there is a real chance with the remaining games. They might need to do both these things to get in though.

I think pretty much everything the Jets does pisses off some part of the fanbase to be honest!;)

If they go into Miami 2-5 they have a decent shot of finishing 9-7. There are 4 games against absolutely terrible teams. Miami 2x, Cincinnati, and Washington. That makes you 6-5 with 5 more games left against Oakland, Giants, @Baltimore, Steelers, and @Buffalo.

what about to the Carolina Panthers early in their tenure? I coulda sworn the Jets were like their only victory, or maybe their 1st victory or something

Yes the Jets were Carolina’s first ever win but Carolina wound up winning 7 games in their first season. They actually were pretty stacked for an expansion team unlike Jacksonville.

we are 2-3 injuries away from 2-14.

were are zero injuries away from 7-9/8-8.

    that's how i see it.
