    You're missing the point. I already noted that you can't just remove April. But we are talking about a guy who had one hot month, basically, and has been mediocre otherwise. AND has done so while being tremendously lucky on top of that.

    If you asked me what kind of season Hughes has been having, I'd say it was mediocre, too. I certainly wouldn't be impressed by it. And I'd be even less impressed if his peripherals were lousy. (Of course, in Hughes' case, his peripherals aren't lousy, so I'm not as concerned.)

    Yes, and then you proceeded to do it anyway, to make the argument that he hasn't been that good.

    What I'm telling you is that it isn't saying much to say that a guy's stats don't look that good when you remove his best month.

    It ain't black and white like that.

    It's not just removing the best month. It's how good that best month was compared to the rest AND the fact that it's boosted because of luck AND that his best month was April and has been rather consistently mediocre otherwise.

    No, most other players don't have such a stark contrast. And, no, most guys don't have luck propping up their line to such a degree.
