As bad as Joba was, I blame Girardi more for this one. He overmanaged the Yanks right out of that game. He yanked two guys (Mitre and Marte) with a five run lead before even knowing whether they had it today. By going to the fourth pitcher of the inning (granted, Robertson going out wasn't his fault), he just guaranteed that - should Joba struggle - there wouldn't be any realistic options left to which he could turn. So what happens? Bad Joba shows up, and he has to be left out there to shit all over the mound for the rest of the seventh inning. Mitre should have been left in there. If the score got within a run or two, okay... go to Joba then. If you lose then, fine. Your guys didn't have it.
