Did anyone have any doubt that hit was going to happen?

The BP is terrible right now.

Jeez, how do you blow a six run lead against the worst team in the division.

I know you were. I was just continuing to mock the idea that Joba's command issues last year were related to his starting.

As bad as Joba was, I blame Girardi more for this one. He overmanaged the Yanks right out of that game. He yanked two guys (Mitre and Marte) with a five run lead before even knowing whether they had it today. By going to the fourth pitcher of the inning (granted, Robertson going out wasn't his fault), he just guaranteed that - should Joba struggle - there wouldn't be any realistic options left to which he could turn. So what happens? Bad Joba shows up, and he has to be left out there to shit all over the mound for the rest of the seventh inning.

Mitre should have been left in there. If the score got within a run or two, okay... go to Joba then. If you lose then, fine. Your guys didn't have it.

    2 outs

    HBP, steal, Jeter error, triple

3-0 Indians and Burnett is now over 100 pitches.

two out, two strike, two RBI single for Jeter, making it 3-2 Indians and precipitating a pitching change.

that gets to the weak Cleveland bullpen and Teixeira hits a three run homer, to make it 5-3.

All 5 runs with 2 outs.
