It's actually Week 2, three of our four home openers vs NE have been in Week 2. In 2006 we opened at Tennessee with a win and last year at Miami with a win, New England opened at home vs KC when Brady got hurt. Only 2007 was actually Week 1.
I'm sure you're right, I don't remember it being that close. All I remember was Coles and Cotchery both making incredible plays for TDs to make it at least look respectable. As bad as the 38-14 score was in 2007, it was 28-14 in the 3rd, us driving with the ball when Chad got hurt, NE then got the ball and put the game away. Up until then Chad had thrown 2 TDs and we were at least mathematically in it, although our D never got close to stopping them. Brady was just standing there all day in the pocket.
didnt ellis hobbes run back the 2nd half opening kick 108 yards????? and we rushed 3 dropped back 8 and brady hung out for 15 seconds, fingered gisele and still had a 58 yard bomb to randy moss????
