historically the steelers have been good due to good coaching and not drafting a lot of busts and good ownership. we finally seem to have the ownership and coaching and front office, we just need to give them the time to build a steelers. remember the ravens were the browns at one point and historically bad. then after moving they became a good team and have been since but it takes time to flip bad teams into good teams

Yeah, but the Brown had an excellent scouting department. They had Bellichek, Ozzie Newsome, Phil Savage, Thomas Dimitroff, Nick Saban, and Scott Pioli. They were on to something but the owner fired Mr. Personality and they are still bums.

If it’s not KT or walker at 4 I think we trade back… Atlanta has 2 second rounders and I think they would give us one to move up.

    Jets - #8 + #58 + 2nd 2023
    Atlanta - #4 + #146

Take Sauce at 8 if he’s there if not take JJ at 8. Then take Wilson or Burks at 10. Done

I’m in the Ickey or KT or maybe Walker camp

all the talk about KT reminds me of Micah Parsons last year. We’ll find out soon enough

I was always torn over Revis. He was an unbelievable player, a once in a lifetime corner... but all he really did was make it a 10-on-10 game. A top edge kills an offense at source, affecting every element of the opponent’s offensive gameplan.

Who do you all think those 10 players are thar JD would feel really good about drafting?

Hutch, Icky, Thibs, JJ seem to be locks for that list.

The two AFC Championship Games were both examples of why franchise CB's do not exist.

In 2009 Peyton Manning threw to everybody not covered by Revis and beat the Jets that way.

In 2010 the Steelers ran the ball in a power attack and beat the Jets that way.

One CB can't do anything to win either of those games.

    I'd guess:

    Hutch
    KT
    Ickey
    Wilson
    London
    Hamilton
    Sauce
    Walker
    JJ
    Neal

    No particular order.

There's no Chase level prospect in this class. Wilson comes closest IMO, but he'd be a reach at 4.

I would remove Walker and London and add Linderbaum and Burks.

I think I’ve come around to Iky over Sauce if the Jet’s top rusher is off the board.

    Day 1
    Iky
    Johnson
    and
    Johnson

    Day 2
    Pickens
    Chanel

If there are only 10 than it means no trade back, they want to grab 2 of the 10 with picks 4 and 10 and then possibly trade back up into middle of first round to grab another of the ten and hope the others fall to them.

Or maybe no trade up and hope the other 2 fall to them in second round. This draft could be a repeat of last years, where JD actually drafts the blue chip players and doesn’t worry about trading back and leaving good players on board for other teams to draft.

If we stay at 4 and edge is the pick...its JERMAINE JOHNSON for me all the way. ALL THE WAY.

I'm sure they have identified 10 intriguing prospects, but I also suspect this is mostly a statement designed to drive up the price of our #4 and #10 picks in a trade. "No matter who everyone else takes, we like enough people that we're guaranteed to get someone we'd be excited about with both of these picks, so you better give us a lot if you want either of these picks."

If I’m the GM of another team I know not to call JD, he wants way too much and we might have 15 guys we like and are willing to let the draft board come to us and not force a trade that’s bad for my team.

We could still technically trade back from 4 to 5-9 and still grab 2 of their "top 10".

If they're to be believed, I do think we stay put at 10 now though.

I believe the Jets stay put at 4 and 10 and depending on how board falls after 10, they might try and move up into middle of first round like they did last year.

They ended up with a good draft last year with that strategy and they might use it again this year.

The Jets also had 10 players in last years draft they coveted and it’s why JD moved up for Vera Tucker.

I could see that. Maybe Icky at 4, a WR at 10, and then JJ or Karloftis (whichever is still available) in the early-to-mid teens.

I agree. Most likely, they stay put at both 4 and 10 and just take the guys they covet the most there.

Only way this would change for me is if we pulled off a trade for any of the "disgruntled" WR's. I think they could use 4 and/or 10 to trade back and recoup some of the draft capital used to acquire the player.
