The 2-2 prior included a garbage time win against a Colts team resting their starters in week 17 in 2007 (Jim Sorgi had more passes attempted than Peyton Manning.) Aside from that win the Titans just haven't had all that much success against the Colts over the last 4 seasons. That's mainly because their QB's have been subpar over that timespan and they've had trouble maintaining continuity on offense.

If Sanchez is the real deal then adding Johnson to the mix would likely give the Jets an excellent shot at beating the Colts. If Sanchez is not then they have next to no chance. Revis is immaterial in either scenario because you don't beat Peyton Manning with defensive backs. You beat him with a strong offensive performance, period.

    The Colts opponents in their last 12 losses have scored 31, 30, 29, 23, 31, 34, 23, 29, 24, 23, 16 and 28 points. That's an average of 26.75 points a game.

You've probably noticed, but I'm really just being a wise ass turning around your normal CB argument on you.

In the Colts playoff losses in the Manning era, they've scored:
    16, 17, 0, 14, 3, 18, 24, 17, 17. That's an average of 14 points a game.

From 1999 to 2003 the Redskins went 38-42 with Champ Bailey at CB. They made the playoffs in Bailey's rookie season.

From 2004 to 2008 (the first 5 years after they let go of Bailey) they went 38-42. They made the playoffs twice over that span.

Cornerbacks are not playoff determinitive. Cornerbacks are really not win determinitive unless you have bad cornerbacks.

    * Exactly ! Cornerback is important but does not make a defense run. A great defense stops the run and that all starts with defensive line.Everything on defense and offense starts with the lines. Id rather have a great defensive lineman than Cornerback anyday. Id rather have a great linebacker than cornerback anyday. As a side note, last year when Jenkins got hurt Ryan knew Pouha could not play noseguard like Jenkins did so he started going to a 4 man defensive (4 down lineman)more often and thats when the defense really started working. In football EVERYTHING starts with the line.
