4-7 but keep running out McCown ?

Well, since Petty is the WORST QB EVER to have suited up for a NFL team, there's really nothing to worry about is there...

 

Maybe but we'll never know unless McCown gets folded up like an accordion in the next few games.

 

That title goes to Hackenberg, not Petty. Add his minor as worst 2nd round pick in JETS history.

 

Or Petty moves on and gets with a team that is truly is interested in developing a QB instead of playing at it.

 

By McCown not playing it told me Petty was being looked at in a major way. Petty outplayed Hack, and that's where the competition was. McCown was way ahead of Both. When we picked up McCown, I knew he was the starter right then..he has experience, way more than Pety. Hack is pretty much an after thought.

 

That wasn't the way the Jets brass sold it. McCown was gonna be the QB whisperer. No thought at all to being a starter. He played one preseason game and sat while Hackenberg got all the reps. Petty played pretty good game 3 but got injured. Next thing you know McCown is the starter game 1.
