because i'm not at school and have no good connects around here. all it is around here is 60 dollar 8ths of decent at best shit. i would rather smoke some man made shit for a reasonable price, especially since i don't smoke that often right now glass is always the way to go unless you have like 6 people smoking. then i would rather a good blunt to a joint any day.

This stuff certainly doesn't beat real weed. There's a different feel about it and it's got kind of a chemical taste after you get over the initial effects. After reading that WedMD article, I can see how a lot of that could be true, although most ingested chemicals can be habit forming.
A couple of years ago I had occasion to go to the old last resort we used to use, forgetting how great it actually is, that is an aluminum can with the side pushed in above the bottom, puncture some tiny holes in the middle of the pushed in part, and sprinkle the weed in the middle. It takes all the heat out of the hit, wastes nothing, and allows for a deep, deep draw. I frankly had forgotten how well it works, but have been using it a good deal now that I remember.
Aluminum + Heat = Potential issues in the brain such as Alzheimers, Parkinsons and other forms of memory loss. Not really a good idea. Use a blown glass bubbler.
a bubbler is just a hand held bong... he's describing a makeshift vaporizer that heats the weed without burning it extracting all the THC vapor and none of the supposed bad stuff... I picked up a digital vape a few weeks ago and it's great... worth every penny & you don't have to worry about the aluminum
The whole aluminum causing brain damage theory has been pretty much disproven. The idea was that lighting a bowl with aluminum releases fumes from it but most lighters aren't hot enough to burn the aluminum and cause it to release the harmful fumes. But still, i would't use aluminum just because i think it tastes like shit. To me, glass is the only way to go (except for vapes), smooth hits and you get the flavor of the herb.
it isn't a fair price at all. weed costs a steady operation no more than 20 dollars an ounce to grow. if weed was legal it would be much cheaper than that even with high taxes on it. it's possible to get a functioning vape on the cheap and a pretty good one for less than $200. i got a cheap one off ebay for my apartment last year and it worked like a charm. I do need to try a volcano someday when i have some money to blow.
