I thought it was a thrid and fourth, not third and seventh.

Anyway, I've wondered the same thing in a couple of earlier posts. If I'm the Jets, I'm willing to consider trading Abe, a 3rd, and a 4th for their #15 pick, but Tangini obviously weren't.

Who do you tink the Broncos are targeting at 15?

Not a chance, man. I'm not a huge fan of draftniks but I'll bend to Jabba this time and agree that this is a DEEP draft of first round talent. We can nab 3 first-round caliber players with our first three picks (2 1sts and the early 2nd). That's how you rebuild through the draft.

Yeah, I think everybody came out ok on this deal. Abe gets to play where he wants to, and we got another 1st round pick out of it.

Heck, no. We trade down (with Minnesota if that rumor is true). Or stay put and take Brick, Hawk, or Williams. I am not a fan of any the QBs this year.

Wow did we get a big steal...

we gave Atlanta a 3rd this year and a 4th next so we basically moved up to #15 from #29 for just a 3rd round pick!

    wow Im really not sure...

I bet we can get Kiwi at #22...maybe a DT?

at the Broncos board we were all talking the possibility of taking a RB at #22 because they are gonna be falling...but I dont think this is what Shanny has in mind.

you worry about what you want to believe, we'll take care of the rest. You should have doubts about newbies who post this, not established posters like Jtuds.

no doubt the broncos stepped into this mess, settled it and got the best return all and all.....we got 2 spots better than we thought originally and the falcons got their man-had to give up the 15 but at least got two picks back....im not crazy about it but i'll take it...bronco fans should be elated

I say no to Super Mario... If you think about it, he's going to be a similar player to Abe, maybe he has a chance to be better, but for the most part, he's going to be simliar to Abe. So basically its like just having the 29th pick in the draft, after a terrible season. Thats boring, and sad. Also Matt Leinart, is one of the best quarterbacks to come out in recent years, USC haters aside, he is. Lets just go and get our freakin franchise QB now!

    packaging picks

all this talk of packaging the #4 and #29 for the #2 pick frustrates me.

    Leinhart will be a bust.

I rather have two picks. I really hope we don't make this mistake as it will devistate us in the long term.

Realize one thing, John Abraham was an amazing player, due to the circumstances I am pretty happy with what we got, but honestly I don't feel we will get the same value in return for Abraham with the
29th pick. We lost a premier pass rusher for a late 1st round pick.
