After 6+ years of the media at large predicting the Jets will be the worse team in the league, it's kinda nice to see at least 'some' media predicting the Jets will be a team to contend with.
The 49ers have loaded up with talent. If they're healthy they have the talent across the board to compete with anyone. They don't need great QB play they need good QB play and health. The Jets need great QB play and may get it. The Browns are loaded. Predicting them to make the playoffs is pretty easy. I predict they won't.
I hate to say it, but I agree with this. 8-8 will be a huge accomplishment with this huge liability of a secondary.
Very underrated team coming in. They actually have a running game now. Wouldn't surprise me to see them have a better record then the Vikings.
The OL injuries will contribute to a 5-11 season, no team can overcome injuries in the oline that the Niners have suffered. You can adjust defensive packages or blitz a little more but the oline is pretty straightforward, you either have a good one or you don’t. Don’t see anything happening for the Niners other than Jimmy getting hurt.
Matt Patricia, wasn't he lucky to not get fired? The team supposedly hated him? That was the rumor going around.
I don't understand why the media continues to pimp Garoppolo like this. I don't see it with him. It's almost as if they believe they can talk/write him into superstardom. Even the Browns because THEY'RE THE BROWNS!!!!!!! Out of that list I think the Jets are the most likely. I'd add Buffalo to IF Allen takes a big step in year two.
Yea I don't get the Garoppolo love fest either. At best I think he'll be an average QB. Not somebody who really moves the needle
I can see the Browns going 12-4 and winning their division given the amount of talent they have on both sides. I can also see them going 5-11 because they're shown to not be a cohesive team and their personalities clash often on and off the field.
Tough division. Steelers & Ravens have won SBs and have been perennial contenders. Even the Bengals have had some good regular seasons not too long ago. I can understand the excitement over the moves the Browns have made still THEY'RE THE CLEVELAND BROWNS!!!! Way way waaaaaay too much talk.
The Jets didn't help... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/video...have-a-great-relationship-with-lions-players/
I don't see what he's done that's soooo special that makes them talk about him like this. They've taken a very small sampling of success and come to the conclusion that that's how it'll be for him always. That's not how the league works.
The Browns are going into this season with a bullseye on their backs. Too much media hype, too much talk coming from them. When did Freddie Kitchens become a automatic winning season pencil 'em in for 12-4 & a division title (in the same division as the Steelers & Ravens) type of head coach? Get outta here with that!!!! Out of all the teams on that list I think the Jets have the best shot. Gase is a proven offensive mind in the NFL, he's a experienced HC and heck we have the Browns interim HC from last season the guy responsible for their strong finish to 2018 at DC. Unlike the Browns no one is predicting big things for the Jets in 2019.
For the Jets, it just depends on whether or not we’re giving up 40 points per game, because I think Darnold can lead us to 30 points per game.
Some of his success came with an absolute machine of a team. The rest of it came in total garbage season time where it was 5 meaningless games for a 1-10 team And last year he starter 3 games and it looks like the league was figuring him out
