During games I'm an outright sunshiner. I never count the team out until we are at least 2 scores down with under 5 to play. It drives me crazy on the game threads to see people bitch and moan and give up when were down by 3, 4 or 7 early in the third. I'm a darksider when it comes to sports in general. Sports, all of them have an ebb and flow. Teams, individuals whatever can get in rythem, a roll and look incredible and just like that the flow goes the other way. Every time you think your team is on a roll the opposition sucks the flow changes and creates a mood swing for the fan. I'm a realist in terms of the season as a whole and you don't play in a vacuum. This games after all are a competition and everything has to be measured against your opponents. At the end of the season you generally are what your record says you are.
i've seen our resident morons start threads bitch and complaining when the Jets are tied or down 3 early in the 1st half.
My emotions bounce around a lot. Especially during a game. I haven't really had that "SOJ" feeling this year though. Even when things aren't going right, I'm just pissed off, not depressed. We've been outplayed and outcoached in consecutive weeks. But it feels different. This team looks hungry until the final second ticks off. That's something we've seen in a game here, a game there in the past. This year, it's every week. It's hard for me to get into Darksider mode when I see the team play with that much heart. I know the talent is there.
Realists get frustrated with the team's poor play, as they should. They sometimes even refer to it as SOJ when merited. Darksiders post crap like "I will NEVER get my hopes up for this team again, nor will I ever believe in them." That's the crap that pisses me off.
Yea, baseball would be the smart option for him. Although it would be cool to see him replace Jones next year.
im def a realist but during a game im all three, its hard not to be especially when im drunk.there should be a column for manic depressive jet fan.
people will remember the monday night miracle forever while your narrow margined victory using a busch league offense will be forgotten after we beat you in two weaks. wildcat? sounds like a pet name mark anthony made for his boyfriend. oh and some of your other owners include gay-lo, fergie, and venus williams. id rather have al davis. oh and we happen to be leading the division while you still remain a sub 500 team. kill yourself.
