Why don't you like Moore? I didn't know any of these guys, but I have watched a lot recently and would take him over Mendoza even as things stand now. He has extremely fast processor and great instincts. He is athletic but always pass 1st, does not like to run until he has to, but can when he needs to. Very accurate, one of the leaders in College football in completion %.. Made a lot of NFL throws, has a great deep ball. Bigger arm than Mendoza and almost 2 years younger too. Got better as the season progressed.

Guys it is a crapshoot with qb's. It really needs to be a good situation for them to thrive, comes down to fit and healthy support. We draft Josh Allen, Herbert, and Maye and we fuck it up.

Just need things to align. I like Mendoza and I like Moore but really they arent Elway or Luck as prospects where their ability is far superior than the rest

I don't know a ton about Moore yet. But from what I've seen, his ball placement is pretty good but he's mostly a 1-2 read guy. Lots of wide open WRs and single-read throws. Gun to my head I think he'll need a good OC and/or good roster to do well in the NFL.

That and fans just have a natural tendency to talk themselves into guys they shouldn't when they realize they aren't getting the #1 guy.

I know I am hammering the point home and probably annoying everyone with it but I’m starting to look at prospects from the lens of how they play from the pocket.

Moore tries to get rid of the ball extremely fast when rushers are 3 steps away from him. Mendoza stands in there and delivers when he gets smashed. I think that’s a huge differentiator.

I also don’t see Moore climbing the pocket. Mendoza does and the really good prospects generally do.
