This is more 2027 but CJ Bailey looked great with a diverse skillset against Memphis in a useless bowl game today. He’s a baller. Arrived at NC State as a 17 year old freshman last year and put 35 on 14th ranked Clemson in his first ever road start against a power 4 school. I expect him to be a first round pick in 2027.
Here’s my take on Mendoza. I like his size, his arm talent is strong but not a canon. His accuracy is definitely the best part of his game. He throws with good anticipation and has nice touch. What I find troubling is his lack of athleticism and most of all he takes a lot of sacks especially on 3rd down when his first read and check down is covered. He needs to be able to process the game faster. Personally I think he’s going to the raiders and if they are smart they keep Geno and let Mendoza develop behind him as they are very similar quarterbacks. In fact Geno is my comp for him mixed with Joe Flacco.
