Simpson is not even a decent college QB. :)

Looks like pickings are slim. If Moore does not declare it may just be Mendoza...

I don’t see Moore declaring. Obviously I don’t know him personally but his career trajectory indicates patience. He switched to go to UCLA from Oregon based on coaching changes as a high school senior. Had a disastrous freshman year and scored to go to Oregon after all. He sat a year there behind Gabriel and waited for his chance to start after learning for a year.

He has no reason to rush to the league.

only reason he might is because he could be a top 5 pick even without the experience

btw I saw you mocked Concepcion to us. My god what a player. Hell yeah, good call

I know this is about drafting a QB on he 2026 draft, but in parallel there is smoke building that the Jets might try to trade for Mac Jones as a near term plug and work developing a flyer later in the draft. He certainly is head and shoulders an improvement over JF. Might grow to really like that idea.

Please no Shanahan guys. He is a quarterback guru and we have the farthest thing from it.

Mendoza Is the only QB I would consider in next years draft, even then, I'd probably pass. He throws a pretty ball though, and seems to read defenses well for a college QB, I think he holds the ball too long. Now I have trauma after seeing how long Fields holds the damn ball post snap. sigh

And you just summed up the entire problem.

"Because he could be a top 5 pick even without the experience."

The fact that these SUPPOSED professional football people can't seem to CONTROL themselves when the draft rolls around and NOT draft someone who shouldn't BE in the top 5! Yeah, top 5 because the entire position group is trash this year so, let's go ahead and be morons and draft a kid nowhere near draftable at that spot. Should be a law against it because it ruins everything. Ruins the player, the franchise and, downstream, the fans.
