2026 Draft - QB Prospects (Part 2)

    Looking at the combine results, I think it will be a big mistake to blow one of the 1st or 2nd round picks on a QB. Even on Simpson. At 6-1 211lb he was injured multiple times during the only year he started. Nuss is even smaller and also was injured. It will not get easier in the NFL. 1st two round is where you need to shoot for a starter. I just don't think these guys are it. This is a one QB draft. In the 4th round if you want to get a long term cheap back-up to develop, sure. But I think it will be a mistake to invest top 44 pick into the QB this year.

    And I know we may not even be in position to draft a good QB next year, depending on how the season goes, but that doesn't mean we should waste assets this year on inferior prospects. We need to spend 1st two rounds getting starters at other positions. And then hopefully we can find a way to get a better shot at a starting QB next year.
