I'm betting they feel comfortable with the Fields/Ruckert connection, but I would imagine this would be something they address in the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if we address it with our first pick. Warren and Loveland are great prospects to me. Outside of the first round possibilities that I like are... Harold Fannin Jr, TE, Bowling Green - Athletic, can do it all. Probably should go In the first round, doubt he does though. Good YAC TE. Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami - Cam Wards safety net. I like what this kid has to offer overall, very sound in most his game. He should be a mismatch for most teams at the next level. Mason Taylor, TE, LSU - Probably the most reliable TE in this draft. He should be a good one at the next level on that alone. I don't love his balance, strong hands, good routes, tall and lanky, Not a freak but a true football player. Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon - I love this kid but he's got a lot of work to do inline. The blocking was by far the weakness of his game. If he can get a little stronger and get coached up properly, he can be a stud for someone. Some potential names for us beyond the 1st round at the position as well for others to check out. I think any of these guys would upgrade the position instantly.
I never expected you to be a guy who buys into "messaging" as anything to hang your hat on but maybe you really were an "all gas, no brakes," "keeping receipts" kind of guy when now you sound just like a same old "same old Jets" man. It's Coachspeak, for crying out loud! Of course they're all saying it's "win now" time - have you ever in our life heard a coach, manager or owner say anything else? It's meaningless! But you probably believe everything you see on the internet too!
