If the Jet come out swinging with a stupid air it out game plan I will be livid. This is a low scoring run and pound and outlet passes till the OL jells. We need to muscle them out on both sides of the ball.
Just compete tonight. If they win, amazing. Just dont get embarrassed. I'm not going to lose it if they come up short against a great team on the west coast. Just don't look like losers.
I always vote for the Jets, just like a good Soviet should. We must have faith. Contain the spread of misinformation. That is how we keep the fanbase from undermining the fruits of their own labor.
commie. Actually the old soviet in 1919 was a brilliant and humanistic idea whereby groups of workers/peasants learning to self-govern. Not necessarily all thought in lock-step. It was only when the Western powers tried to stop the Bolshevik revolution that differences in opinion became suspicious.
I really hope this is the approach all year. Be patient and let Rodgers be more of a game mgr.; but strike off of the ground game and play action. Especially when/if they're not a in a deep hole. I think some outside people think the Jets are trying to duplicate Rodgers in his prime, but they don't need that to win at all. I'm also very curious to see if they'll use Allen to pound people. Hopefully Allen is ready that, and that's part of their plan. Allen and Davis can both catch passes very well too. Which can be used to pound as well to great effect. I'm also curious about Javon Kinlaw. If Kinlaw can come close to his potential it would be a wildcard for them. They would be murder then.
Here we go again. I am really excited and looking forward to the game which kicks off at 01:15am (Tuesday) UK time. I have not had the power nap I was planning but am now ready with beers lined up, which I am starting now. I'm not predicting a result, but I do think it will be close and we will be competitive against a very good team. Ground and pound, eat the clock, let Rodgers pick off what he sees. If our elite defence can keep them to 21 points, we may edge it. We will see what we have, for sure. Go Jets.
When I was in Korea the Sunday afternoon games started at like 1am if I remember. It actually worked out better when I was in my 20s.
It's been a busy summer, haven't been on much, but I'm pumped up and ready to go. Nervous as hell that Aaron Rodgers may not get up when he gets hit the first time, but there's that tiny shred left in me that has hope. Hopefully that guy will be happy for once rather than the 99.9997% of me that expects and knows something's coming. Let's goooo!!! Sent from my SM-F956U1 using Tapatalk
For me the Big Question Mark? Is the revamped offensive line. They are opening against a top tier defense. They have not played together in an actual game. This should give us some answers on where they have progressed.
Vegas line is now -3.5 Home Field advantage is typically worth 2.5 or 3 points. Yes I know the line is set up for equal betting so the house makes money regardless. That said Vegas says there is a chance.
A surprise: #49ers RB Christian McCaffrey is inactive tonight against the #Jets, sources tell me and @RapSheet . McCaffrey was listed as questionable after being limited in practice last week with calf/Achilles injuries. McCaffrey had expressed confidence he would play. https://x.com/MikeGarafolo/status/1833276746579275944 With McCaffrey out, I think we take this game.
That is a game changer. I'm sure they wanted the Jets to gameplan for McCaffrey though so it's not a slam dunk.
Really wanted to take a power nap before the game, but instead have been dealing with torrential rain flooding.... got a beer in hand now. May have to slug some coffee LETS GO!
So my next question is whether the refs will protect Rodgers like they did for Brady and Manning when they returned from their catastrophic injury?
The over/under went down as well to 42.5. I saw yesterday that the line had creeped back down to +4 anyway They're a slight favorite at best now. +4.5 would've been a nice grab
