They should have BLASTED him out of bounds on that play, it would have only been half the distance (like 5 yards) but would have been totally worth it. It’s so ridiculous that qbs get away with that shit.
The 49ers window closed when they lost the SB last year. Kittle & Deebo are at the end of their elite effectiveness with the abuse their bodies have taken over the years. Trent Williams probably should’ve signed a one and done to retire. Take it for what it’s worth but I’ve had a source tell me McCaffrey has one year left at best in his overall career and will retire. The arthritis he has going on in his lower body is the real deal and he probably has a lucrative TV career waiting for him anyways. They’ll also never suck another year out of Purdy like they got last year. Never should’ve signed Aiyuk to that stupid contract. Their instincts said not to and they avoided it like the plague before they caved. The biggest question that remains is - do Lynch and Shanahan recognize this? Or will they be the 2018 Saints where they spend more than half a decade trying to relive what “should’ve” been?
