The stuff that's happening in Detroit is closer to pure football than anywhere else in the league, it's really something the way they get the most out of even their third string. You have to wonder how Stafford really feels about it. Goff was embraced and really stepped up.
I love the way the Lions play. There's a lot of talk about their receivers but they actually play smashmouth football with that awesome O-line and Montgomery and Gibbs. I hope they win the super bowl. People and the media were ripping on Campbell when they hired him, oops. Their staff is filled with former players and I think it makes a big difference
Big overreaction from Cowboy-land as expected. Not saying they shouldn’t be pissed after getting curb stomped but this is a down roster for them. Injuries have compounded the weakened roster issue even more. This also shows that you can’t just pay a good (not great) QB money like this and expect them to carry the roster in down years. They came into the year with a meh offensive line, no running game, no receivers behind Lamb, Quinn gone and a completely different defensive system brought in for no reason. What did they expect?
The problem was Jones was saying this roster was better. Also they way they won week 1 got everyone fired up. But agreed anyone from the outside looking in knew this roster regressed.
