They look like the best team in the NFL through 3 weeks. Jets will have to play a good game to beat them.
This reminds me of the Titans game when Favre was here. Tennessee was undefeated and they got smacked by the Jets 35-13. I remember because I was at a sports bar and spilled beer all over myself and like 5 other people. Tennessee was also a team that played great early but nobody really expected them to go the distance.
I remember that game too. It was in Nashville. But if I recall, Favre fucked up his bicep shortly thereafter, wouldn't stop playing and in Jetsy fashion, lost 6 of the next 7.........something like that
I don't know, I had it in my head that he got his arm whacked during the Bengals game but that was in week 6, maybe it was Denver.
Must be bittersweet as a Panthers fan to win a game but realise that an older journeyman QB is so much better than your presumptive franchise QB (though the QB they should've picked, Stroud, could do nothing against the mighty Darnold) I still think how much better off this team would've been if they'd kept Darnold and traded the #2 pick to the Niners for 3 first rounders - could've retooled the team and not had to suffer through the ZW years.
I fell asleep but why did the Falcons go for it twice on fourth down in field goal range? They would’ve been up if they kicked both…
Probably because there is no guarantee you will get the ball back, especially when playing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. There was also a non-call on a PI in the end zone on third down on the first scoring opportunity drive.
That’s not the way it works. They sit down and go over the roster. But especially with the QB, if the head coach says that’s who I want to roll with and can win with him that’s the end of that. If he says don’t think he is the right answer then the GM acts. GMs have little interest in trading a key asset on year one if not a problem.
It was nice not having to worry much about the games today other than fantasy stuff. Tonight will be a different story, however. Fuck the Bills!!!
This is kind of my view, and I don’t believe the theory that the GM decided to unilaterally say I don’t want Sam but rather the new coaching staff saying I don’t think we can win with Sam and he is not the long term answer. Might be wrong.
I am trying not to be revisionist and saying that we should've kept Sam as he had lots of potential - I don't think many people on the board had much faith in Darnold at that point - it was more that I had even less faith in ZW as a prospect and when the niners were offering up 3 first round picks for the spot we were so stupid not to take it - but I guess the FO fell in love with Zach and the rest is history.
The worst three man booth in sports, gentleman. Rece Davis calling the game by himself in the corner while Orlovsky and Louis Riddick argue over nonsense.
Man Orlovsky is annoying in the booth. He reminds me of Tony Romo without sounding like he spent all night giving head to an elephant
Buffalo is destroying the Jags. Jags received the kiss of death when “know it all” Cowheard proclaimed two playoff teams out of the AFC division and the Jets missing the playoffs. May his predictions rot in football hell.
