Guys drafted in the fourth round have a better chance of being inactive than they do playing a significant role on a “win now” team.
We are not writing anything off. We got the key ingredients already. Would a back up QB, RB, or even IOL help us in 2024.?
At this point a 4th round pick is not a guarantee to even make the team. We do have a deep roster. I can see a point of getting two 5ths for one 4th or even a next year 3d. What I don't get is how we go down in the 4th by 15 spots, half a round basically, and only get back a 6th. When GB has two 5ths, which could match the point chart value. The way GB is always fucking JD even on little things is embarrassing.
So we traded down to end up picking RB after all those other guys went off the board? I'm not buying in to this.
I think if they stayed with the traditional Wisconsin offense rather than the Longo air raid, Allen could’ve showed out in Jonathan Taylor production range. The dudes 245 pounds and he can’t even buy a beer yet. I like it a lot.
So was QB.. Again, I'm glad JD isn't picking another QB for the Jets. At this point, it really doesn't matter who he picks as he probably won't be around in '25 to see it anyway.
I’m with you. We were team Allen this morning but gotta shout out @NCJetsfan who brought him up months ago in a discussion about wanting a vet RB. I preferred that route but once we didn’t go that way I wanted Allen. Very happy.
They kept Breece on the field for short yardage last year and it was a comedy. We needed a power back in the worst way. Now we got the biggest motherfucker in the draft. Plus he's fast and can catch.
Don't know much about this guy, but looks like a big bruising back, huge production, and just turned 20 this year. We do need a 3d back, a guy for short yardage, and normally that's the spot where you can get a good value for RBs. Connor Rogers has him graded as RB5 with 3d round grade. This guy will certainly compete for a roster spot. What's not to like?
