Ya--I consulted the chart too and yes, you are right--maybe I'm thinking premium to get into top ten but early 3rd is probably too high--their 2nd and their late 3rd would be fair IMO but I don't think JD should take it--he should make them give up the early 3rd or don't trade IMO.
Well Douglas can nickel and dime them too to get up into the third by throwing in a late pick which is basically equivalent to all those undrafted free agents he can get Saturday night. Until a few days ago I thought that was the fate of Wilson. If you're going with the chart all premiums are built in; what is not nailed down is the discount for future year discounts in value.
I'm actually feeling cautiously optimistic there is just no way Woody would sign off on anything but OT or WR/Bowers at this point. Ya know, avoiding that everybody riots outcome.
In this scenario one of these guys will have to be signed and step up. Could be a trade too. Not ideal situation, I agree. But depending on a weapon we can get could be a fair trade off. I think the Jets are going to raise the ceiling with a weapon and hope the floor will not collapse with these guys.
I'm actually cautiously optimistic that no one at all will pay any attention to anything Woody Johnson has to say this week.
Want to remind again. If you spoil ANY pick, you will be banned for at least 1 month. You spoil ANY Jets pick, you will be banned 3 months
He was during the Covid draft. I’ve loved the draft since I started watching football. And it’s more and more like a broadway production every year. This is the least excited I’ve ever been for it.
I think a lot of people mistake arm strength and arm talent. Arm talent encompasses accuracy, off-platform, arm angles, touch, etc. Caleb’s arm talent is probably one of the best coming out that I can remember.
Real question: has anyone here carried a loaf of bread in one hand by their side, or seen anyone do that? Because, for like fifty years I’ve been hearing TV guys say some player - in this case, Caleb - was carrying a football “like a loaf of bread”. Mine usually goes right from the shopping bag to the kitchen counter. Maybe I’m missing out on all the fun.
