Whoa! That's really surprising!!!! It's just as surprising as Daniel Jeremiah just saying that Atlanta didn't tell Kirk Cousins or his agent that they were going to draft Penix.
Why would we need another TE - don't we have two good ones already? LOL. Smart move by JD. Now let's trade into second and get a good WR we need.
Pick tells me a few things With a healthy Rodgers jets believe they have enough weapons and Lazard will turn into his Green Bay self. Rodgers is here for longer than 2024 Douglas will be around after this season since he just drafted a player who may contribute this season but will start in a year. It wasn’t a selfish pick
Yeah I don't feel good about our pick. Watching tape of Fashanu and his feet are slow. Hope I'm wrong.
Having arguably the best D-line in the league didn't stop the Jets from drafting another d-lineman last year. Hopefully this is a sign of the Jets learning from past mistakes. Doubt it, but one can hope.
I liked Fuaga more but just glad we drafted a T. In the third-fifth we should be looking at QB, RT, G and WR.
I would have been fine with trading a 4th and a future pick to move up 2 spots for Odunze, adding a 4th and 5th and getting Fashanu was the smarter move, by a lot probably.
Also posted this on the Fashanu thread: https://x.com/henrycmckenna/status/1783672555150143879 Rodgers says to play Fashanu at guard this year.
If we do this I'll be ok with the Fashanu pick. It's a pretty deep WR class. We definitely need another receiver.
Regardless of what you think about the player, we won’t have any idea if it was right until 2025. That’s where the dejected feeling comes from. It could turn out to be awesome.
I think I have a handle on this. JD was afraid the Vikings might pick Fashanu at 11, so he traded down to make sure that didn’t happen. And he got away with it because the Vikings thought JD would pick Bowers, and that’s a position where Minn has no need. All very psychological. 3D chess at its finest.
The turf is one year old. Any objective information whatsoever that it performed poorly as far as injuries are concerned? Whatever was there in the past is meaningless.
This makes some sense. Get him playing sooner and learning the speed of the game and the scheme and concepts and then move him next year or the year after to LT.
Over Simpson probably, he's not that great. But if AVT can't get healthy, then Fashanu can slot there.
